The recent AT&T data breach is a major concern for everyone, not just AT&T customers. Hackers have stolen records of 110 million AT&T customers, including call logs, text messages, and location data. Scammers could use the stolen data to impersonate loved ones or steal banking information. The stolen location data is particularly frightening for individuals whose safety relies on the privacy of their whereabouts. We must advocate for stronger data privacy protections. Unlike Europe, the United States lacks a comprehensive federal data privacy law, leaving individuals at risk and without rights if their data is compromised. It's time for change. Join us in calling for a robust US federal privacy law to hold corporations accountable and protect our privacy. Sign the petition now and make your voice heard! https://mzl.la/4cFpsnL

About us
A lot of companies say they’re “mission-driven.” Our unique corporate structure guarantees that every decision we make upholds our mission: to ensure the internet remains open and accessible. Beholden to neither shareholders nor investors, Mozilla Corporation is wholly owned by the not-for-profit Mozilla Foundation. Along with our communities of 20,000+ contributors and collaborators, Mozilla Corporation’s staff designs, builds, and distributes software that allows people to enjoy the internet on their own terms. Our flagship product — the Firefox browser — has expanded into a family of products that protects users and alerts them of risks, safeguards passwords and provides a secure VPN (with more to come). By maintaining a safe, open internet we're helping humanity, while also helping the individual humans employed here to reach their personal and professional goals. With a relatively small team serving hundreds of millions of people, a culture of exploration, and a commitment to mentorship, opportunities abound to learn and grow at Mozilla.

Congratulations to the team at trail 👏 together we're working towards a future where all AI is considered trustworthy.
We have closed our Pre-Seed round to enable trustworthy AI! 🌟 I’m proud to finally share our €1.45M Pre-Seed round, led by CapitalT earlier this year, with participation from from NP-Hard Ventures, Mozilla Ventures, Common Magic, and several AI and compliance angel investors. It is amazing to be supported by such diverse investors that are experts in the field of trustworthy AI, compliance and developer tooling. This marks an important milestone for trail and will help us to further advance our mission of building the copilot for AI governance. We help teams efficiently prepare for upcoming regulation while enhancing quality and trust of their AI solutions. 👉 Reach out if you are interested in trying out trail or know someone who should! Biggest thank you goes out to the best team I could wish for!! It is crazy to realize what we already accomplished in such short time. I am super grateful every day for my amazing cofounders Nikolaus and Sven, Nick who has been with us since the earliest days, and the rest of our small but growing team. ❤️ Learn more about our story in our blogpost (link in comments). I am looking forward to further work with you Eva De Mol, Janneke Niessen, Sarah Drinkwater, Anke Huiskes, Paul Veugen, Micha Hernandez van Leuffen, Adam Mullinax, Mohamed Nanabhay, Lisa Gradow, Leon Szeli, Tomislav Tomov, Benedikt Franke, Torsten Klein.

Dating while Black can be a fraught experience — especially online. This mini-series by #MozillaFellow Dr. Apryl Williams for Word in Black explores the toxic relationship between dating apps and sexual racism. Apryl writes about how mainstream dating platforms fail women of color, and Black women in particular by using scoring metrics underpinned by centuries of racial segregation. In the second op-ed, she gets into how community-focused apps catering to diverse communities like BLK and BlackPeopleMeet (for Black daters), Hawaya (for Muslim daters), and Chispa (Latinx daters) — match up in responding to the failures of mainstream dating platforms.
