Meeting peers and visiting suppliers are the best ways to keep my finger on the pulse of the end-to-end supply chain. I was fortunate to be able to do both during a recent trip to the US. First port of call was the Gartner for Supply Chain Leaders Forum. A great event where global Operations and Supply Chain executives shared insights on key strategic and operational challenges. Hearing keynotes from leaders in consumer goods, high tech and life sciences coupled with some dynamic roundtable sessions was a great way to dig deeper into pertinent challenges that we are facing. It was amazing to see how widely not one, but two revolutions are simultaneously touching almost all #supplychains - digitalization and decarbonization - like never before. The last five years has seen more progress across these fronts than the previous three decades.    Next on my agenda was a trip to the BCorp certified McCarty Family Farms. Run by four brothers, it has been a long-time exclusive supplier of non-GMO verified milk to Danone. With 19,000 milking cows that produce 572,000 liters of milk per day, they’re committed to the highest standards of animal welfare and sustainability using innovative technology. Understanding the importance of farm resilience, it was great to see how they are sharing their regenerative agriculture know-how with farmers in their community through an onsite education center dedicated to their beloved mother, Judy.   McCarty Family Farms is a good example of how we are working with farmers to create the blueprint for the future of dairy farming. Their progressive model can also be demonstrated by its on-site milk condensing plant which uses ultra-filtration technology to produce ingredients for our US coffee creamer business, and the creation of an on-on site biodigester to convert manure into fertilizer and biogas for farm use.
