Last week, in honor of Pride month, Masco hosted an enterprise session focused on allyship. The session, led by our CEO Keith Allman in partnership with Out & Equal, focused on why allyship to the LGBTQ+ community is more relevant than ever, leaving employees with small but actionable steps to signal allyship and educate others on how to create a more inclusive workplace for all.

We are proud to highlight Delta Faucet Company's Employee Network, Delta’s African American Community (DAAC). This dedicated employee-led group organized a meaningful event at their Kentucky site this past Tuesday, combining festivities and educational activities to raise awareness about Juneteenth. We are pleased to share heartfelt testimonials from DAAC members, reflecting on the significance of Juneteenth: "Juneteenth is an acknowledgement and reminder of all things freedom and symbolic of those things [which] are yet to come, including equity, fairness, and racial justice." - Cassandra J, DAAC "Juneteenth is truly a celebration for our freedom. Juneteenth gives us an opportunity to recognize how far we have come as a nation and to reflect on the American history that molded us. Although we celebrate, we will continue to strive for equality." - LaTanya M, DAAC "A day of freedom, celebration, pride, reflection and hope for a better world. A reflection of what's possible when you stand up for what's right." - Sarah D, DAAC "Juneteenth is the beginning of a debt owed to enslaved people. It marked the end of slavery and the beginning of a promise made by America that all have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness denied to them for so long." - Jesse W, DAAC
Employee-led and self-directed, our Employee Networks serve to empower distinct populations, champion diversity, equity and inclusion, and provide ways to bring employees together around common interests, goals, and experiences. Members of one of those networks, the Delta African American Community (DAAC), were guests yesterday at our Morgantown, Kentucky site for a Juneteenth celebration. Attendees enjoyed snacks and time together, with opportunities to play games and win prizes. Employees were encouraged to stop by to learn more about this federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved people in the U.S. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a meaningful celebration.

Masco recently gathered executive leaders from across our businesses for our 2024 Leadership Conference focused on “Growth,” rooted in our goal to achieve growth of our business and the belief that growth of our leadership is key to reaching that goal. The 1.5-day agenda featured workshops focused on critically assessing and reflecting on our leadership capabilities—individually and collectively—and leveraging the diverse networks we have across the Masco enterprise to get better together. We were pleased to have Kat Cole, President and COO of Athletic Greens, as our guest speaker and hear her top leadership lessons learned along her incredible career journey. This year, the agenda also overlapped with our Expanding Leadership Development program—made up of 80+ professional-level talent taking part in a separate 9-month leadership development experience—allowing for rich networking at all levels. The energy across both programs was top notch! Thanks to all who made the trip to Detroit. We had such a great time being together and look forward to the possibilities we can unlock with a continued focus on leadership.

Masco’s Multicultural Community is a group of employees who strive to increase awareness of various cultures to help promote an environment where differences are valued. Last week, the group organized an employee visit to the Detroit Institute of Arts to explore the museum's expansive collection of works from across the globe, complete with tour guides who offered important context for key pieces. An added bonus was seeing items from the art collection that our Chairman Emeritus, a longtime supporter of the arts, has on loan to the museum.
