If you haven't checked out our Summer Catalog, we would love to invite you to see all the amazing things your gifts are supporting! One example is supporting our fuel centers. Poor fuel quality means fuel filters must be replaced every few months. Clean filters allow the trucks to run smoothly. This allows our engineers who live in the regions we serve to access these water points. To see more ways to help, check out our summer catalog! https://lnkd.in/gVmaYbYi

About us
Please follow Water For Good, as we have merged with that organization. All new postings and updates will be on the Water For Good account. This account will live as a historical document and resource for employees, donors, and stakeholders. History: Founded in 1977, Lifewater International is a Christian non-profit with a focus on safe water and community health, committed to helping families in extreme poverty thrive. Recently, Lifewater joined Water for Good, sharing the mission of transforming lives in places that need it most. Focusing on safe water, improved sanitation, and hygiene training (WASH), Lifewater operates in Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Cambodia, and the Central African Republic. Lifewater’s proven approach to solving the WASH crisis is called the “Vision of a Healthy Village.” It is the culmination of 40 years of WASH experience and exhaustive research. This model uses the contributions of local churches, governments, leaders, and families to build a healthier and more productive future for remote communities. Over 150,000 people are currently participating in the Vision of a Healthy Village. The organization has received the highest possible rating from independent charity evaluators, including four stars from Charity Navigator. Our Mission: Transforming lives through sustainable access to safe water, as well as improved sanitation and hygiene, in places that need it most.

Water for Good has a dedicated and well-trained maintenance team. In the Djembe community, there are 420 households, with a total population of 1,600 people, all of whom rely on this borehole for safe water. The community is actively involved in supporting the maintenance team, ensuring that any necessary repairs are promptly addressed whenever the borehole breaks down. From the eyes of Migana Godito, Senior Communications Officer at Water for Good, learn more on our maintenance approach and how it is just as vital as the initial building of a well or latrine. https://lnkd.in/g-whX6kM

Recently participated in a WASH facilitators training one program. This fantastic experience equipped facilitators with tools and knowledge to promote safe hygiene practices within their communities. The facilitators' enthusiasm and commitment were truly inspiring. No doubt they'll be instrumental in ensuring everyone in Shinyanga Program 2 has access to sanitation and hygiene infrastructures. #WASH #LifewaterInternational #Shinyanga #Tanzania #Training #CommunityEmpowerment
