Hex is crazy good. I mean crazy crazy good - for people whose day-to-day revolves around Spreadsheets, Datasets, and difficult upper management. Been trying Hex for past 3 days and I’m absolutely hooked. I’ll write more about my journey with Hex after a month to outline a more detailed review and use cases in the comments section of this post. Inviting my friends in Data and Reporting to try Hex out!

Ok guys Happy Wednesday - next up is some highly confidential info on a company in the data space you might not have heard before: Hex It was great to meet the team at Hex who kindly gave me this hat (Hex 23/24, One Size, ‘Pivot Tables’). Aside from fitting great, this is a well-made cap with a nice embossment of the famous term "pivot tables" on the front, nostalgic Lehman Brothers-esque green colour, fine attention to detail on the clasp and of course, the hex logo on the reverse. I enjoy wearing this hat so much it is easily in my top five and recently brought it to Tokyo. And now for the confidential information. My understanding is that if you work for Hex you essentially get given a small budget to put towards your item of clothing of choice. This. This could be a hat, but it could also be something more stylish like a shirt or pair of chaps. The Hex team will then get the Hex logo embroidered onto it. How nice is that? It’s clearly one to watch and at Orchestra we’ve seen this from the beginning. A large proportion of our early customers all use Hex in some capacity. Either to help onboard analysts to the world of python easily or simply to facilitate the running of arbitrary python in a data and AI pipeline.
