Glendale Elementary School District (GESD) provides educational services to more than 9,000 students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade in 12 schools, one online school and one alternative program. The District’s 1,500 employees are focused on meeting the needs of our diverse student body. We are champions for students and celebrate together as “A Mosaic of Minds” or AMOM.

We celebrated #GivingTuesday today by reading to 200 third-grade students at three Title 1 schools across the Valley, as part of Read to the Final Four, a contest to inspire Arizona third graders to accelerate their reading and increase academic achievement, using the excitement surrounding the 2024 Men’s Final Four! Special thanks to our guest readers, Kelly Koenig from the Helios Education Foundation, Jayme West, Arizona Morning News co-host at Bonneville Phoenix - KTAR News, Arizona Sports & ESPN, and Simone Cuccurullo, morning anchor at Arizona's Family 3TV. Students from Amberlea Elementary School in Phoenix, Glenn F. Burton Elementary School in Glendale, and Navajo Elementary School in Scottsdale, were given swag bags and books to take home to continue their reading journey.
