Executive Vice President of Global Manufacturing and Sustainability | Transformative leader forging GM’s path to zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion

For the past 23 years, the Lansing Grand River team has worked together to proudly deliver luxury and high-performance vehicles to customers everywhere. Their performance and commitment have been undeniable. That’s why in 2023, we committed that LGR would be a vital part General Motors electrification strategy, and today we were able to celebrate that GM has been awarded a $500 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to support this team and future. Today underscores our commitment to U.S. leadership in manufacturing and innovation, and I couldn’t be more proud or confident in our team at Lansing Grand River to help lead the way to a future we believe in. Thank you to U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm for attending today’s event and to Troy Comiskey, UAW Local 652 and our entire Lansing Grand River team for all that you do to support our customers, company and community. #IworkforGM #electricvehicles #manufacturing #allelectricfuture

Looks like we need a bigger trophy cabinet! General Motors has earned the most model-level awards in the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Initial Quality Study. This year, Cadillac XT5, Cadillac XT6, Chevrolet Equinox, Chevrolet Silverado HD, Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Traverse ranked #1 within their respective segments.   This incredible achievement reflects the dedication and collaboration across our entire enterprise. From innovative design and product development to top-notch manufacturing, customer care, aftersales, and our exceptional dealers, every team member plays a crucial role in our success. Have you gotten behind the wheel of an EV? I always love seeing people’s initial reactions to our new products and technology. What’s even better? When it’s a member of the General Motors’ team. 🚗 Last month about 100 of our GM team members had a chance to take a spin in the all-new Equinox EV that’s just beginning to ship to customers, here’s what we heard: 1️⃣ Fun to drive: EVs deliver power instantly. The responsiveness of the vehicle was impressive, making driving feel effortless and agile. 2️⃣ Game-changing tech: The modern interior, touchscreen interface and advance driver-assist features are amazing. The first time you take your hands off the wheel to experience Super Cruise is a little scary. After a few minutes of using, it takes a lot of stress out of driving and is easy to see why customers who have it, love it and want it in their next vehicle, too. 3️⃣ Range Anxiety? Not Anymore: A common concern before driving an EV is range anxiety, but the Equinox EV has 315+ miles of range and with advancements in battery technology and expanding charging infrastructure, range anxiety is becoming less and less of an issue.   Thanks again, Gina, for giving us a peek into your experience. I can’t wait to see more Equinox EVs on the road soon!⚡
