Shane and his crew from Plateau Excavation, Inc. were on a Flintco jobsite along with other trade partners, planning and prepping for a project starting soon. Upon hearing some trade partners mention that they would have a skid steer available to assist with planting trees on a sloped area, Plateau’s crew talked to them about how dangerous it would be with the rocks and the slope for a skid steer. Shane instructed his crew to halt operations if they see anyone trying to bring equipment up the slope and to notify Flintco immediately. Thank you Shane for Recognizing the hazard, Reaching out, Raising your voice, and ensuring this work is done Right. The landscaping team is re-evaluating the site conditions and creating a revised strategy to execute the work safely. #Flintco4LIFE #FlintcoMemphis

Recently, our #FlintcoOklahomaCity team went out to “root, root, root for the home team,” the OKC Baseball Club, which faced the Albuquerque Isotopes at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Flintco Family enjoyed food, drink, and fun at the game, and HSE Area Manager Jameson Ballinger, GSP even got to throw out the first pitch! Although the OKC Baseball Club lost to Albuquerque, our team still had a blast! Internships are a win-win-win: businesses get fresh ideas and energy, interns gain valuable career skills, and communities thrive with a more skilled workforce. Our #FlintcoOklahomaCity interns attended the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber’s InternOKC event to gain valuable strategies and tools to transition from college students to young professionals. Bentley Philo, interning at the Stillwater Medical Center ICU Renovation project, said that InternOKC is “a great opportunity to network with lots of different companies, which allows Flintco interns to make connections with professionals they may work with on future projects.” Intern Daniel Tracy, an intern at the Edmond City Hall Complex project, also attended and would recommend the event to others “to connect with new interns in different areas of business as well as and continue to bond with ones you’ve already met. It’s a time to learn important personal skills for navigating the self-promotion required to get an interview and win the job.” Thanks to the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber for organizing such a meaningful event for the entire community! In the summer of 1965, pickleball was created in Bainbridge Island, Washington. Its popularity has steadily increased over the years, particularly in the last 20 years. Recently, #FlintcoAustin let their competitive sides show at their 2024 Family Event during a good old-fashioned pickleball tournament. Jeff Ciancio and Avery Peters took home the 1st place trophy, Anya Choy and Raul Alfaro scored 2nd place, and Bill Purvis and his daughter Holly Purvis (who’s also an NCAA champion rower) came in 3rd. The Flintco Family had a great time with bounce houses and face painting, making it fun for the whole family!
