Preparing every student for success
About us
The Dublin City School District consists of 47 square miles and parts of Columbus, Hilliard, Upper Arlington, Delaware County, and Union County. Contrary to a popular notion, the boundaries of the Dublin School district extend far outside the city of Dublin. In fact, more than 40% of our students live outside the city of Dublin. The District remains committed to the dual goals of excellence and equity. Dublin City Schools works everyday to provide our students with world-class instruction and a well-rounded education and to continuously improve in everything we do. It is our goal to align our daily work around these concepts in order to create the Dublin Difference. The District has received the State of Ohio’s highest possible rating, Excellent with Distinction, for nine consecutive years, bolstering its statewide reputation for academic and extracurricular excellence. According to Ohio Department of Education statistics, Dublin City Schools is the 10th largest district in the state. • 24 schools in operation; 3 high schools, 5 middle schools, and 14 elementary schools housing seven preschools • 2021-22 enrollment exceeds 16,000 • More than 1,600 ELL (English Language Learners) speaking more than 50 different languages are enrolled To learn more about our District, visit our 2022 Online Quality Profile: https://www.dublinschools.net/domain/104.

Thank you to Walmart and John Furner for taking the time in your latest episode of the Huddle to highlight the value of work-based learning, to discuss the many opportunities available in retail, and to allow Dublin City Schools to share the work we are doing to support all our students in these pathways to success! John Marschhausen, Ph.D. Lori Mesi, Ed.D.
I started working with Walmart when I was in school. I was just hoping to earn some money for the summer — but I soon realized that working in a store taught me many things I couldn’t have learned in a classroom. Real-world work experience is crucial, and that’s why we're proud to be a partner of the NRF Foundation's RISE Up program. RISE Up has helped 40,000 learners learn about and experience the retail industry, and build foundational employability skills. In this episode of The Huddle, I'm joined by John Marschhausen and Lori Messi from Dublin City Schools in Ohio, who were recognized by the Foundation for the amazing work they're doing immersing students from their district into local retailers. They have great advice for how organizations and institutions can take smart risks, engage with their communities, and build partnerships to change young people’s lives. The work happening in Dublin showcases what's possible when we invest in the future leaders of tomorrow. I'm excited to see the next generation “RISE Up”! https://bit.ly/3sBPMJS
