With a focus on the U.S., CyManII is leading the cybersecurity industry in securing our country's manufacturing systems against growing cyber threats. CyManII is currently building a consortium in San Antonio and beyond with advanced capabilities in testing and evaluating critical technologies, threat identification, cyber exploitation, and attack detection in manufacturing environments. Check out this interview with Paris Stringfellow, our Director of Growth and Sustainability, conducted by Manufacturing Today about how CyManII is fundamentally shifting how manufacturers think about and approach cybersecurity. “Rethinking how manufacturers approach cybersecurity from the beginning is critical because we’ve been doing it wrong for quite some time. In effect, we’ve been 'bolting on' cybersecurity, and after a while, that just creates a house of sticks that isn’t secure." -Paris Stringfellow #smartmanufacturing #cybersecurity #techhub #supplychains #manufacturing #sustainability The University of Texas at San Antonio greater:SATX Greater San Antonio Chamber Port San Antonio Q-Branch Alamo Area Council of Governments C5MI Lockheed Martin NukuDo San Antonio Manufacturers Association (SAMA) TMAC Capital Factory Bexar County Bexar County Department of Military and Veterans Services U.S. Department of Commerce EY Nexight Group U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)

This morning, we hosted a group of high school interns from Port San Antonio at our C4M facility. The visit included a full C4M tour and a demo of our Mobile Training Vehicle. The students also got a chance to do some cybersecurity training by playing a customized eSports game. KSAT even stopped by to talk to the students about their experience. Our Facility Program Manager Nate Acevedo PMP® /G\ recently introduced CyManII cybersecurity training to service members being discharged or transitioning as part of the 737th Air Force DRIVE program. According to Joint Base San Antonio, DRIVE – Develop, Redistribute, Improve, Vault, Expose – is designed to transform medically disqualified Airmen with unique skill sets into viable civil service applicants, thereby keeping the talent within the Air Force. “I appreciate the expertise offered by Mr. Acevedo and his guidance about what breaking into the cybersecurity field looks like.” - Ryan Van Guilder (trainee) CyManII will continue its Mil-City/Cyber-City U.S.A. Crossroads Initiative in 2024, “Supporting the Intersection of San Antonio’s Military Community and Cybersecurity Ecosystem Through Education and Workforce Development."

It's not often that we can come together with our fellow Manufacturing USA institutes but Robert Willig and his team SME made it happen this week at the Smart Manufacturing Experience. We're proud to be part of a network whose sole purpose is to support small and medium manufacturers on their journey to adopt advanced technologies that will make U.S. manufacturing stronger and more sustainable for years to come.
