About us
The Complex Risk Analytics Fund, short CRAF’d, is new multilateral financing instrument to foster an open data ecosystem that supports all stakeholders in crisis anticipation, prevention and response. Proud that this fact sheet from the White House detailing advancements under the Women, Peace and Security agenda in conjunction with the 75th NATO anniversary highlights the U.S.' work through the Complex Risk Analytics Fund (CRAF'd). We're dedicated to anticipating, preventing, and responding to crises and to addressing the gender-specific data gap in these settings. A huge shoutout to my WPS colleagues Jennifer K. Johnson, Janina Staguhn, and Willow Kreutzer, Ph.D. for making this happen and for their consistent dedication to furthering U.S. WPS goals. https://lnkd.in/gTUZUf-h From the fact sheet: "The U.S. is a founding member and steering committee participant in CRAF’d, a UN multi-partner trust fund which supports critical data needs to anticipate, prevent, and respond to crises. In June 2024, together with our partners in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Nations, the U.S. launched a $3 million call for proposals to address the current paucity of gender-specific data in crisis and conflict settings, which leaves crisis responders ill-equipped to analyze and address the unique impacts on women, girls, and other vulnerable groups."

#UNActionAgenda Two years into the United Nations Secretary-General's Action Agenda on Internal Displacement, progress is evident, but the challenge remains stark: 76 million people are internally displaced as reported by #GRID2024. At the heart of CRAF'd's mission lies the reimagining of data's potential in crisis response. Our partnership with the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) is already bearing fruit, proving that faster data leads to faster decisions, which can be the difference between survival and further hardship for those affected. It's about empowering those on the frontlines with the tools they need to make a real impact.
