Fountain Valley is my proud home.
What a journey it has been as I wrap up my second year as Fountain Valley City Manager! It has been fun with ups and downs but no regrets on my end. I #appreciate my team, my bosses, my community champions and those that don't agree with my decisions as I embrace this journey with one end goal---positive impact! We have accomplished so much in the last year with the opening of our #CentralCitiesNavigationCenter (thank you Lisa Kim for leading this effort and Christine Cordon for our partnership), completion of OCTA #405ImprovementProject (congrats Chair Tam T. Nguyen), groundbreaking of #UniversallyAccessiblePlayground and near completion, General Plan Update, City leading the first State of the City Luncheon, strategic planning sessions that also included our managers for succession planning, completed six labor groups MOUs, fun activities implemented by our Engagement Team (employees driven), Executive Team retreat and team building events and so on. Our team continues to work hard to provide #excellentcustomerservice and be #innovative so we can elevate #FountainValley to the next level. We are creating a #culture to retain and attract quality employees and it may take up to 5-7 years and I know our team is up for that challenge. We got this! I would like to #thank my supporters at #OCCMA and throughout our amazing professions including #MMASC peeps, #FountainValley team and champions, friends and family, and of course my bosses. I also made sure I take vacations along the way to have a work/life balance. 😁 Lisa Kim and Christine Cordon - it is a privilege to work side by side with you ladies and we will continue to do what is needed to #serve our community and profession. #fvproud #fvstrong #liveyourbestlife #publicservant #citymanager #loveit
