The first European Style Organic Infant Formula that meets FDA standards. Founded by moms in the U.S.

About us

Bobbie is the first and only mom-founded and women-led infant formula company in the U.S. Our European-style recipe meets all FDA requirements, is made with pasture-raised milk from Organic Valley farms, and is the only infant formula to receive both the Clean Label Project’s Purity Award and Pesticide Free Certification. Bobbie is working to shake the stigma and evolve the conversation around how you feed your baby to one of confidence, not comparison, from how we feed to what we feed. We lost sleep over this so you don't have to.

We are so excited to share that we have been awarded SubSummit’s Social Good Cube Award! SubSummit, the largest event for membership, loyalty, and subscription brands, annually celebrates companies that are revolutionizing the direct-to-consumer space. We are honored to be considered one of those companies amongst others like Walmart+ and Paramount+. Not only was our Vice President of Platform, Karen Ayyagari (and her 5 month baby bump!) there to accept the award, but she also joined Erin O'Neill, Head of Subscription Lifecycle at Audiobooks.com, and Kimberly Miller, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Operations at Payway®, about churn mitigation strategy. Here are some key takeaways from their conversation: 📌 From Bobbie: Think creatively about what churn means for your customer and your business: At Bobbie, we celebrate our graduates who end their subscriptions because it means they’ve made it through their first year of parenting, and all of its ups and downs. It’s an extremely emotional and joyful moment - and our graduates remain part of our community forever. 📌 From Audiobooks.com: If you aren’t doing winbacks in your cancellation flows, do it: the cost is almost always less than acquiring a new customer. Keep learning and iterating as you go! 📌 From Payway®: Make retention part of your acquisition strategy: effective targeting up front gets you more high intent customers who are more likely to stay with you. You can meet the other winners here: https://lnkd.in/gAETKRY

This Spring, we were nominated for seven Shorty Awards for the work we do on social media to evolve the way we think about, talk about, and actually nourish our babies. Last month, we were awarded three of those awards! 🥳 We took home the awards for Best Single Post, Best in Family & Parenting, and *drum roll* Small Brand of the Year! Since launching in 2021, Bobbie has been dedicated to changing modern parenting culture. And, if you follow us on any platform, you know that that ethos shines through our social channels. We are on a mission to make parents feel seen, understood, and empowered to take on year one of parenting with confidence—and these awards proved to us that that there is a hunger for change, impact, and advocacy. People want brands to wear their values on their sleeves, and get loud when those values are being compromised. Thank you Shorty Awards for the recognition, and shout out to our social team that make it happen everyday: Shakivla Todd Angela Hanks Paige J. 💚

In honor of Pride month 🌈, we’re getting even 👏 louder 👏 about passing paid leave in the US, because 51% of the LGBTQIA+ population lives in states lacking paid leave policies—and that’s unacceptable.
Two years ago, we open sourced our parental paid leave policy to show how the private sector can show up for working parents (while the government continues to its time). Our policy offers up to 1 year of parental leave (4 months paid) to all full-time and part-time employees regardless of how they became a parent — birthing, non-birthing, adopting, and surrogacy. And since releasing our #TakeOurLeave playbook, it has been downloaded more than 1,500 times by companies that employ a whopping 790,000 workers!

You can help create change in your workplace. We’re encouraging other companies to expand their existing policies to create a more supportive, inclusive culture for all working parents to thrive. We’re 👏 just slow 👏 clapping 👏 over here for our Chief Brand Officer Kim Chappell, a mom of three kids who will be the first to tell you that Bobbie is her fourth baby. She was named on an elite list of Business Insider's Most Innovative CMO’s 2024 for her work building this mission driven brand since 2020, for always advocating for our customers, and championing their stories and their voice at every table she sits at 💚 Here’s what Business Insider had to say about her in their own words: “By focusing on parents, not just products, this direct-to-consumer baby formula brand has become the fastest-growing player in its category, claiming to feed more than 4.5% of babies born in the US. Chappell, Chief Brand officer since November 2023 and a four-year Bobbie veteran, has made advocacy a key brand plank, positioning Bobbie as a force on issues including federal support for new parents. The company advised legislators on drafting the 2024 Infant Formula Made in America Act, addressing issues behind 2022's infant formula shortage. Overseen by Chappell, an early 2024 partnership with tennis star Naomi Osaka brightened the brand's halo, launching a grant for working parents while campaigning for federal paid leave. Because Osaka had been public about her decision not to breastfeed daughter Shai, her choice as spokesperson both elevated Bobbie's brand and aligned it with mothers facing similar challenges. More than 11,000 parents applied for grants.” Congrats Kim for your continued devotion to our parents, every Bobbie baby, and your team 👏👏👏 And congrats to the leaders at Chipotle Mexican Grill, BMW of North America, Duolingo, The Walt Disney Company, Netflix, Mattel, Inc., Mastercard, Walmart, Scopely, E.L.F. BEAUTY and more! And s/o to the women leaders bringing their voice to the boardroom Andrea Brimmer, Lisa Caputo, Emma Chalwin, Lee Anne Grant, Jill Kramer, Marian Lee, Kory Marchisotto, Samantha Maltin, Stephanie McCarty, Lisa McKnight, Aila Morin, Jessica Padula, Natalie Sunderland, Dara Treseder, Kyle Watson, Sherry Weiss, and Andrea Zaretsky. As they say, we left our (green) heart in San Francisco 🌁 💚 In our last few months as an SF-based company we are proud to be named Fortune’s Best Places to Work in the Bay Area. The pure ingenuity, founder fearlessness, and entrepreneurial spirit run through the veins of San Francisco, and thus through the veins of Bobbie. Our company was created in an SF basement across the street from Alamo Square. Our founding team of moms came from Airbnb, Square, Olly, and Venture Capital. We built the company with start up hustle and muscle we learned to exercise for years in the Bay. SF will forever be the birthplace of Bobbie. Now, as we evolve from a DTC company with a co-manufacturer to the third largest full stack infant formula company with our own manufacturing facility (alongside our co-man) with plenty of Target shelves and subscription boxes to fill, we bid adieu to SF and say hello to the Heartland of the US. While our HQ is officially moving to Ohio, make no mistake—the SF hustle is in our bones. We will always be forever grateful for the opportunity to start and grow a business where some of the best and brightest in the world were born. On to our next chapter. Thank you San Francisco and thank you Fortune for this honorable recognition https://lnkd.in/exMbi98E

Post Father's Day reminder: Dads need paid leave too 💚 When dads take leave... 🤛🏻 They are more likely to be involved in their child’s care nine months later 🤛🏽 They are more likely to have lower depressive symptoms compared to those who do not 🤛🏿 It leads to improved health and development outcomes for our children. Truth: Paternity leave leads to better outcomes for baby and parent. The harsh reality is that only 13% of American fathers are offered leave, causing 70% of American dads to return to work full-time, less than two weeks after having a baby. We hope everyone had a restful Father's Day! Help us pass federal leave for ALL parents by signing the Paid Leave for All x Glamour petition: https://lnkd.in/egSz2WvK

In honor of Father’s Day and Pride this month, we’re getting LOUD about paid leave for all (emphasis on ALL). The time to get loud about this is now—this election year. Paid leave isn’t just for moms. Why? Because: 📌 70% of American fathers return to work less than 2 weeks after the birth of their child. 📌 64% of companies do not offer paid leave benefits to parents going through adoption. 📌 36 states do not have paid leave policies that explicitly include provisions for foster parents. 📌 51% of the LGBTQIA+ population lives in states lacking paid leave policies. Want to get loud about passing paid leave for ALL? Sign the Paid Leave for All x Glamour petition: https://lnkd.in/edBM26f8 Sources:  1. National Partnership for Women & Families. (n.d.). 2. Co-founder and Chief People & Experience Officer, Sarah Hardy, joined Parentaly's podcast called "The False Tradeoff" last month to talk about paid parental leave and other ways to support working parents in the workplace with Allison Whalen, CEO of Parentaly. Sarah shares her experience with authoring the paid parental leave policy at Airbnb and what it was like to be the first employee to take it. They also talk about why Sarah believes normalizing parenthood in the workplace is great for businesses and what she’s most proud of about the culture and policy at Bobbie. The False Tradeoff is a podcast for working parents, HR leaders, and anyone committed to proving working parents can be successful at work and at home. Listen in to the episode ⬇️

Who says babies can’t be in the boardroom? When parents, and mothers specifically, are in leadership positions, things evolve for the better. Here’s a peek at a normal c-suite (or b-suite as we call it) meeting happening where 5 moms lead our company through the highs, the challenges, and the bottle feeds. When our CEO and co-founder Laura Modi showed up with her 3 month old, Etta, for a session not only did we celebrate that sweet baby—we fed her, bounced her, and cuddled her while sallying forth with Bobbie business decisions at hand. There are 13 babies—ages 3 months to 29 years old—between our c-suite and we are so proud to lead as a parent-first company. When we say this is for our babies too…we mean it! 💚
