The POS isn’t dead. It shows up every day and does its job— processing transactions. However… "The POS has never been the brains of the guest relationship. It's blind to who the guest is. Every transaction is a nameless and faceless transaction. There’s no e-commerce-level understanding of who this person is or what they have ordered in the past… there’s no context at all. What needs to happen is not, ‘something needs to be extracted from the POS and put elsewhere,’ it’s, ‘something else needs to enter into the equation from elsewhere.’” Olo is in the perfect position to serve as the brain of the restaurant tech stack.
