🩷Representation matters and this just happened! It was such an honor to meet the Vice President of the United States, Ms Kamala Harris, a woman who looks like me! She was so warm, friendly and said many kind, encouraging words to me. She also agreed to take a quick selfie after our official photo, and this was a moment I will never forget. As a young entrepreneur, building a business Beautiful Curly Me while balancing school, extra-curricular activities, speaking engagements and this week -a fractured clavicle(ouch!), is not easy at all. What keeps me going is the love for what I do, my inner resilience and the support of my community. I have been blessed with my amazing mom, team, mentors and supporters who want to see me win and my mission is to do the same for other girls! I am grateful for moments like today where I got to be in the room with many powerful women and the first Female VP, to remind me of what is possible! #representationmatters #blackgirlmagic #youthmeanbusiness #youthpreneur
