Following up after meetings is crucial to avoid the "I knew that needed to happen, but I wasn't sure if I was responsible for taking action on it." At the end of a meeting, ensure minutes or notes taken during are sent to all those who attended (or were missing - life happens!), with clearly assigned action items and due dates. Then, revisit their completion status at the next check in!
