How to Watch Tarantino Movies in Order of Release
Quentin Tarantino made his feature-length debut with 1992’s Reservoir Dogs and has directed a total of 10 films (though he’s occasionally written for other directors).
Here’s how to watch Tarantino’s filmography in order of release:
While we’ve primarily focused on movies Tarantino directed, we’ve also included a few projects he was heavily involved in. This includes True Romance and From Dusk Till Dawn (written by), his short film “The Man From Hollywood” in Four Rooms, and his half of the double feature Grindhouse.
However, we’ve chosen to omit projects like his unfinished 1987 debut My Best Friend’s Birthday and Natural Born Killers, the latter of which Tarantino received a story credit for but later disowned.

What Was Quentin Tarantino's 'The Film Critic'?
The Film Critic was originally planned to be Tarantino's tenth and final feature–the "canonical" first nine features are Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vol. 1, Kill Bill Vol. 2, Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Tarantino planned to retire after The Film Critic, which was about a magazine writer in 1977 Hollywood and would bring back Brad Pitt's character from Once Upon a Time. For whatever reason, however, the writer-director scrapped the project just before it started production.
That's not to say that he won't make another movie; he just decided this wasn't the right one.
