Amanda Derrick

Experience

Amanda's full-time career has included time with the US Air Force Civil Service, ATK, and Boeing. Initially an engineer, she turned her skills toward writing competitive proposals and business shaping. Her proposal activity developed and honed her management skills as she progressed from being an author to filling the role of proposal manager for many campaigns.

Amanda currently builds proposals for a corporate travel company while also engaging in creative freelance work. Her writing has been published on sites including Apartment Therapy and NYMag, as well as ghostwriting content for blogs, tech companies, and more. 

Education

Amanda earned her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah in 2009 and an MBA focused on Project Management from Florida Tech in 2011. She loves learning new tools and has enjoyed additional training for Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite products.
