A mobile device aficionado, Aaron is also a fan of pretty much every OS on the market including Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, and Android. You might even see him strolling around Best Buy just to see what the latest and greatest hardware is like. He's the go-to computer and networking troubleshooter both at home and work, and set up a Roku 'network' as part of his cable and satellite-free lifestyle.

Aaron has been writing about home and business technology topics for over 20 years as a management consultant, project manager, and business analyst. Since 2012, he's contributed to consumer and technology publications such as Linux Journal, MakeUseOf, and MakeTechEasier.

My Gear

When working, I prefer to use Linux. I run KDE Neon on a 2017 Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition. My main mobile device is a Samsung Note 10+ (in Aura Glow, the only correct color for these phones), and I also have a custom Windows 10 gaming rig, a small form factor Ubuntu home server, and a Lenovo Duet ChromeOS tablet. In terms of applications, I can get done most of what I need to with a combination of Google Chrome and the Emacs text editor.
