A world-class cultural centre: AKM

Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM), one of Taksim Square’s symbols, was opened upon the completion of reconstruction. AKM’s halls feature the world’s leading technologies in stage mechanics and systems and are equipped with the top mechanisms in acoustic, sound, lighting and displaying systems.

Istanbul Commerce University’s postgraduate programs built, in line with the business world’s demands, are waiting for the students who wish to give their careers a direction and study in Türkiye.

2.5 million tourists getting off the cruise

Located in the Mediterranean basin, Türkiye is quite ambitious in cruise tourism. Türkiye aims to host over 2.5 million cruise tourists in 2022.

Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ICOC) celebrates the 140th anniversary of its establishment. In 2022, the Chamber will continue to develop the entrepreneurial ecosystem it has been building with 140 years of experience and open it up to the world. This year, ICOC will include new phases to its projects on women and young people’s enterprises and startup entrepreneurship and continue to be the beacon of business.

Türkiye gaining strength through cooperation in the space race

Turkish Space Agency (TSA) took a critical step on the path leading to membership in the European Space Agency (ESA). Conducting negotiations with EU member countries, TSA also signed a cooperation agreement with Japan. USA, Italy, France and United Kingdom are on the list of TSA.

Base of participation financing

Istanbul is a candidate for the league of the world’s top 10 financial centres in the next ten years with the Istanbul Finance Center project. A significant part of the centre will open this year. The project is expected to provide an inflow of US$ 250 billion to the Turkish economy after 15 years.

Türkiye on environmental-friendly industry’s route

The new industrial investments are expected to focus on the neighbouring countries due to the emission restrictions in Europe. Türkiye ratifying the Paris Agreement offers many advantages for such investments.

Full ahead in naval exports

ASELSAN includes the torpedo countermeasure system and the electronic chart-based navigation system developed for surface and sub-surface systems to its export chain. Türkiye continues to support the peace and stability in its friendly nations by exporting defence systems used the seas as well as products of land, aviation, and space industry.
