Carmen Peone delivers an intense romantic suspense story set in Montana on the Indian Reservations.

Sophie tries to protect her son from her abusive ex-husband, so she makes her way to a ranch that provides sanctuary for women like her. She asks Chad to watch her son and her ex kidnaps her son while Chad is distracted for just a minute. The two try to find her son with very little help, interviewing her ex’s family on the rez.

The story was very engaging with its true-to-life characters and sweet romance. Most of the descriptions of abuse suffered by several characters were tasteful. A few felt a little too graphic for my taste, but they were short.

Overall, the suspense in the story kept the reader wondering if Sophie would be reunited with her son and if the love story would end with a happily ever after.

I would recommend this for fans of Christian romantic suspense.

Romance: Very clean. Light kissing.
Faith: Both characters had to rely on God (“Creator”) to overcome their traumatic pasts.

A powerful read that truly has it all, Renewed Hope is the third novel in the Seven Tines Ranch series and when I say that this series continues to get better and better I mean it!

I’m not going to sugarcoat it, this novel can be tough to read at times, especially if you have had any type of abuse in your life, but even if you haven’t it still hits hard. The emotions are so raw and real that I found myself having to close the book and take a breather while I silently prayed for Sophie and her situation. I remember that feeling of helplessness so vividly when I was going through my own tumultuous situation and the author was able to capture those emotions so distinctly.

I love seeing Native American women have a voice in this series so much, as they are often marginalized, their cries disappearing like a whisper in the wind. I come from a long line of strong, native women and appreciate the author’s pen giving hope to the hopeless and reminding us all that true love goes far beyond the words we speak but to the very depths of our soul, and that love and pain do not belong together. My prayer today is for all of those that are abused, whether past or present, and no matter what way. We need to lift one another up in prayer and give hope to the hopeless and faith to the faithless.

Though this is a very tough subject matter this is worth the read. Sophie is such an incredibly strong woman that I admired so much. How she was able to go through what she went through and come out on the other side is remarkable. Chad is incredible and reminded me so much of how my husband was when I was going through my ordeal, a beacon of light in the darkness.

This series continues to impact me on such a visceral level, and I continue to give it my highest praise.

*I have reviewed a copy of this book which I received from the author/publisher through JustRead Tours. All views and opinions expressed are completely honest, and my own.

I loved Carmen Peone's second book in the Seven Tine Ranch series (just as I did the first). Renewed Hope introduces us to single mom Sophie and her four-year-old son Basin. They're currently running away from Sophie's ex-husband, who's threatening to take their son away from her. Since Sophie left him because of his physical and emotional abuse, he's the last person that she wants their son to be around, for extended time. And the wheels of justice seem to turn quite slowly on their tribal land. Running away seems to be Sophie's only option--though it also may carry its own danger.

The mother and son have run to a ranch which is known to a few to be a place for battered or endangered women to flee to. When Sophie and her boy arrive, she sees that it does indeed seem to be safe. Yet when a certain cowboy's (Chad's) eyes are turned away from Basin for what seems to be just a moment, the boy disappears. And Sophie is terrified--and certain--that her ex-husband is behind the abduction.

Chad promises to help Sophie recover Basin. Yet trouble follows them...and the ex has many friends who are willing to hide him and Basin away. Great danger stands between Sophie, Chad, and Basin. Will she regain her son?

I highly recommend Renewed Hope to you. Full of danger, thrills, and faith, you'll find that you won't be able to put this special book down!

Renewed Hope, a novel by Carmen Peone, is the third book of the “Seven Tine Ranch Romance” series. The contemporary story mostly takes place in Montana.

Sophie Cayes has exceptional talent as a wildlife artist, specializing in wild animals in their natural setting. Her budding future is shattered when her abusive ex-husband threatens to sue for full custody of their four year-old son, Basin. Sophie learns of a guest ranch that keeps a room open for women in need. She and her son leave their home on the Flathead Reservation in Northwest Montana and drive to the Seven Tine Guest Ranch on the Colville Reservation in Eastern Washington, hoping to find a solution to her greatest fear, losing custody of her son.

Chad Davis loves his job at the Seven Tine Guest Ranch. His specialty is starting colts, but of course he performs other ranch chores as well. One of those chores involves helping out when guests arrive. Later, at dinner, Chad is asked to show little Basin around while his mother talks to another woman. When the unthinkable happens—Basin goes missing—Chad feels responsible to do everything in his power to return the little boy to his mother.

Chad, Sophie and a tribal policeman head back to Montana, feeling certain that Basin’s father must have followed Sophie to the ranch and had taken the little boy. Just when you think things can’t get worse, they do. A gut-wrenching race is on to find her son before her ex-husband and his new wife illegally flee with Basin.

Renewed Hope is about faith in the face of raw fear. Unfortunately, abuse of women is common among indigenous people. That abuse is often directed toward children, making this situation even more desperate. The novel is suspenseful, yet realistic. Carmen Peone has written a worthy sequel to the first two books in the “Seven Tine Ranch Romance” series.

I enjoy Christian Romance novels and add in a Western theme and I am all in. Broken Bondage by Carmen Peone is Book 3 in the Seven Tine Ranch series. I read Book 2 in this series and have been looking forward to Book 3.

Sophie Cayes is a single mom and persuing a career as an artist. She is very worried when she finds out her ex-husband wants full Custody of their son. Sophie learns about Seven Tine Guest Ranch in Eastern Washington and heads there. Seven Tine Guest Ranch is a home for women in need run by Chad Davis. Chad learns of their plight when they arrive at the Ranch. Chad wasn't so sure about helping Sophie and her Preschool aged son. He has a change of heart when the boy is kidnapped by his father while Chad is watching him. Chad and Sophie know they must find the boy before the Dad and his new wife take the boy into hiding. Will Sophie and Chad rescue the boy before it is too late? Will Chad and Sophie develop a friendship?

WOW, I was very engrossed in the book from the very first Chapter. Sophie's story of her abusive marriage is very heartbreaking. Chad Davis is an outstanding character and I LOVE that he provides a safe haven for Women and Children in need of a refuge. The book also has Native American Characters and I truly LOVE the Native American characters for the book. The Author does a wonderful job at addressing the Domestic Violence in this book in a sensitive manner. The book is one of Faith, Hope and LOVE. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian Romance. WONDERFUL BOOK!

Just finished reading Renewed Hope by Carmen Peone. This is an excellent, well written book. I was so honored when I was asked if I would consider reading and providing a review of this novel. Once again Carmen has produced a story that instantly draws the reader's interest and makes it hard to not want to just read to the end. I found myself feeling like I was right in the middle of all the action happening as the story developed. The description of the places and views are so vivid your mind lets you think you are in the middle of it. I felt the emotions: fear, gratitude, anxiety, and great love and so many more as the characters evolved. Tears of sadness and tears of joy and love formed in my eyes several times while reading this story. I marvel at the amount of work and research that must have been put into this project to realistically portray the logistics, legalities and the geography to tell this woman's story. A job well done by talented author, Carmen Peone, resulting in a book well worth reading and reflecting on the very real and serious issues of domestic violence in our society.
I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book, which I received from the author. All views and opinions expressed are completely honest and my own.

This was a great story that pulled you in from the first page. I liked the characters and I really liked Chad and his willingness to leave everything to help Sophie find her son. I liked how he was there to help her as she worked through past trauma even though they hadn’t known each other very long. I also liked that as they worked together to find her son, they helped each other work through things and find love. I liked that this story allowed the characters to find hope after very traumatic things and helped them to learn to move forward even when it is hard. I thought the author did a great job of discussing hard topics like abuse in a way that was sensitive to those who may have suffered themselves. Overall, I thought this was a well written story.

I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors.  A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.

Sophie Cayes has a complicated past. She learns that divorce doesn't always cut the ties of an abusive relationship-especially when you have a child. But, things get complicated when Chad Davis comes to her rescue.

Renewed Hope at times, was a difficult read. I relate to abusive behavior firsthand and like Sophie realized it takes a lot of courage, determination, support, and faith to see you through.

Carmen Peone pens a story of Native American victims who come to be victors. She takes a story of tragedy and shows how God turns it into a story of hope, faith, and a new future. This is another of her well-written books in the Seven Tine Ranch series that leaves me wanting more. Fantastic read. Highly recommended.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and willingly chose to review it. A positive review is not required and all opinions are my own.

Sophie Cayes and Chad Davis meet on The Seven Tine Guest Ranch in Eastern Washington. Their meeting takes a dangerous turn when Sophie's preschool age son goes missing. Finding her son, the only thing that matters, takes them to Northwest Montana, Sophie's home. No strangers to devastating loss, the two risk everything to find the boy. Carmen Peone has written a bighearted love story of loss and survival. Suspenseful and fast moving, it addresses some of the most important issues of our time: missing and murdered indigenous women, violence against women and children, and child safety. I laughed, cried, cheered, and felt deeply touched by both the characters and their stories. Love and heroic feats make Renewed Hope a powerful read.

Through Sophie and Chad, Carmen Peone exposes the mind freezing fear behind domestic abuse, and the self imposed barriers to once again believing in self, others, and the possibilities of joyful and fulfilling love and marriage as Biblically intended.
The thought processes of each character are on full display as, amidst a chaotic and frightening series of events, they individually grow emotionally and spiritually through their hurts and self doubts. Walking with Sophie and Chad on this journey is enlightening, encouraging. Highly recommended !

Carmen has done it again! The third book in her Seven Tine Ranch series is action-packed, with danger, risk, and just enough sweet romance to capture the reader from the first page to the last. Sophie is a woman on the run from her abusive husband when he tracks her and kidnaps their four-year-old son. Fear, doubt, and worry plague her as she searches, along with a shy, blushing cowboy who risks losing his job for helping her. This series addresses a serious issue while remaining entertaining. I highly recommend it!

Peone's Renewed Hope delivers a gripping and poignant story that will draw you in from the start. While this realistic domestic tale unmasks the great lengths to which evil will go, a mother's love knows no bounds, and this story shines a light on the power of faith, prayer, and relentless hope in times of trial. I highly recommend Renewed Hope.
