How to Wake Up a PC That Won't Boot

Well, my desktop PC acted pretty strange last night. Everything seemed to work fine, and I played a game. After that I set the PC to sleep. I tried to boot my PC later at night, but there was no response. I tried pressing the power button several times, but nothing happened. Could it be a failing component, or is it a software issue? How can I wake it up?

Don't worry. Here comes your help. There are several causes that your desktop PC failed to wake up, such as the Sleep key on your keyboard is configured incorrectly. It is also possible that you are running Windows Vista and have not updated to Service Pack 1 or a later version. You can try to press the Sleep key again, or you can click the Power Management to verify that the Allow this device to wake the computer is enabled.

If you can't find out the exact reason for your sleeping PC and you need to use it urgently, I recommend you use EaseUS Partition Master Professional. It has a "Boot Repair" feature, which can solve the problem of waking up your PC. This software will analyze and fix the errors themselves. You don't have to do much. All you need to prepare is a workable USB and another PC for this. Your USB will be made into a bootable media to wake up your PC. Its data will be erased, so get a backup in advance. Then, you can download EaseUS Partition Master on the other PC and follow the instructions below.

Windows 11/10/8/7100% Secure

Step 1. Launch EaseUS Partition Master and insert the USB flash drive into the other PC. Select "Bootable Media".

Step 2. Select "Create bootable media" and click "Next."

Step 3. Connect the USB to your PC that won't boot. Press and hold "F2". Then, you see the BIOS interface.

Note: The "F2" button does not work for all the devices. Check for the exact button you need to press according to your device.

Step 4. Change the boot mode to boot from your USB.

Step 5. After your PC restarts, run EaseUS Partition Master again. Select "Toolkit" > "Boot Repair."

Step 6. Select your system and click "Repair".

This boot repair tool will help you wake up your PC that won't boot. In addition, it can perform other tasks, such as fixing UEFI boot.
