Finally got this Leviton EV40P Level 2 Smart Charger installed, and I'm blown away by how fast it charges my EV! It's a night and day difference compared to my old charger. The smart features are really impressive too - being able to control and monitor the charger through the My Leviton App is very convenient.

I love that you can restrict access to the charger using the included RFID cards. The installation was straightforward, and the fact that it's rated for both indoor and outdoor use gives people a lot of flexibility.

Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase. It's a well designed, powerful charger with smart features that make it a no-brainer to buy. So, if you're in the market for a fast level 2 charger, this one's definitely worth considering!

We currently own a Tesla and I have been on the lookout for a charger that is more compact that I can run from my garage out to my driveway. When I saw this particular charger pop up in my feed, I had to give it a try and was happy I did.

The charger itself is perfect for my needs. I was able to cut a hole around the area of my garage to pass through the hose of the charger so it reaches my car in the driveway. The hookup was simple, I mounted it inside my garage and since I have a number of added on outlets in my garage it was up and running in a matter of minutes. What I love best about this brand is that I have a number of different smart home products by it and the brand integrates with other well known brands so I am able to control everything including this charger from one easy app.

This could not be better. This seems very well made and quite easy to install and configure, that's nice. The fit and finish of this was very nice and it would seem they spent special attention to make sure it was quality. Charges my Model 3 at 32A so I guess it does what it says on the tin. I installed it indoors and put a porthole on the garage door so I can charge outside when I need to. Solid Wi-Fi connection. My friend bought the same model for his fiancee's BMW i3 and that works great too, and now I have a place to charge when I go visit! Install was easy, setup was simple, and it just worked.

VW ID4 Charging Schedule Issue Resolved !

I purchased and installed the LEVITON Charging Station before the ID4 was delivered, so when I found that I could not schedule overnight charging I was very frustrated. In Ontario, I could get the electricity rate down to 2.8 cents per kilowatt after 11 PM, which is much better than the rate if I have to charge when I get home at 6 PM. Coming out of home at 11 PM and plugging in the charger is not something I would do, especially during the winter.

ID4 has its own setting for scheduled charging, so does the Leviton Charger. But unfortunately these two won’t talk to each other. What I did first was to set up the location and its schedule on the ID4 and Levition charger. Once I found it won’t work, I started to delete the setting in Leviton. It did not work. Then I disabled the setting on ID4, and try to use Leviton’s setting only. No, it won’t work either. Finally, I deleted all the setting, NOT disable them, on ID4, and only use LEVITION’s setting, now it works.

Once you set up a location for charging on the ID4, even if you choose not to use it, somehow the computer on ID4 still assumes it would use it somehow, so it would block the signal from the Leviton Charger, and refuse to accept the current. Only after you delete any location in the Charging section on the ID4, the car will have no option but to choose the Immediate Charging all the time, then it will accept the current at the time that was scheduled by the Leviton Charger.
Hope this trick would help someone else.
