Incredible features - this TV is on a whole new level!
This TV is amazing! Our old one was still considered a "Smart TV", but I can't believe the difference in quality and features between the two. I initially ordered this for our game room, but, after temporarily setting it up in our bedroom, I'm starting to think it might stay there.I should note that is the first TV I've ever set up on my own. From unboxing it to having it fully set-up (including adding and/or signing into our existing apps, hooking up Alexa, etc.), it took just under an hour. My husband is the one who typically sets everything up. He claimed he could've done it in a quarter of the time, and he's probably right, but I still didn't think it was bad for a novice installer who actually reads the manuals. There were a handful of instruction guides, but the Unpacking and Installation sheet was helpful for the initial setup. Since this was supposed to be a temporarily location, I decided to use the included stand (vs mounting it to the wall). I inserted the legs into the stand, then attached them to the back of the TV. I peeled off the protective film from the screen - which was weirdly satisfying - and plugged in the power cord. I took a deep breath as I turned it on, then watched in awe as the most brilliant colors filled the screen. I took several pictures from start to finish, but they definitely didn't do this any justice.Perhaps I'm behind the times, but I could write an entire review on the remote alone. For starters, you charge it with a USB-C cord, so no changing batteries. I'm sure it came with a slight charge already, but I plugged it in (note: charging cord not included), and it was fully charged in about 20-25 minutes. You can tell it's done because the red LED light just below the Mic button turns off. There's also a little guide specifically for the remote that lists all the buttons and what they do. The coolest feature has to be the solar cell built into the back of the remote. I've never seen this before. We have a lot of windows in our bedroom, so I've been leaving it on a windowsill when not in use, and now it stays charged all the time. The accessibility shortcut buttons are also really convenient. I've been using the Mic a lot (voice assistance) and it's game-changing once you get the hang of it.Back to the setup. There were two options that appeared on the screen: Smartphone, which is quick and easy, or Remote, which is step-by-step. I chose remote, but it still gave you the option to use your phone during most, if not all of the steps. They made it incredibly easy - it walked you though linking Wi-Fi, installing any updates, etc. Then you got to personalize the home screen by signing in or signing up for various apps. This is where your smart phone comes in really handy. You can still sign in with the remote, but there's also a QR code that makes it super quick and easy. It even automatically enters the code from the screen onto your phone. I decided to delete a few of the preinstalled apps I didn't need from the home screen, then added others using the search feature. I wouldn't consider myself technically savvy, and I still found it all very easy.Saving the best for last: the sound and picture quality. It's unbelievable. Everything is crystal clear, even without my glasses, and it sounds like there are external speakers hooked up (which there aren't). I've always had good luck with Samsung products, and this certainly didn't disappoint.

I am not a techie. I am just an average guy who appreciates a great TV, and I really appreciate an easy setup process.

Unpacking this beautiful TV is easy, but I recommend 2 people to get it out and setup. As soon as you receive your TV, check the box and make sure it wasn’t dropped. Our first TV we ordered had been dropped and literally did not work.

The TV is THIN, like as THIN as a smart phone. Be extra diligent while handling the TV as it would be easy to damage.

The initial setup was easy. I did not setup a Samsung account, and I just hooked up to my Roku.

The picture is insanely vivid. Bright, crisp and sharp. It handles all the data effortlessly. The speakers are fantastic. For stock speakers, the sound is really impressive.

The remote is easy to use. But I recommend using your native remote for your streaming device. The translation from Samsung to Roku did not always pan out easily.

Overall, I am stoked on this TV. I highly absolutely recommend it.

Size: 48-InchStyle: TV OnlyVine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
I got this to replace a 44” Samsung QLED TV in my bedroom that was almost 4 years old. After reading up on QLED vs OLED, then Samsung OLED reviews I thought it was worth giving it a try.

First of all, I did use the legs just to try it out before hanging it, in case there was something wrong with it, and not having to use a screwdriver or any other tool was nice. After that, since Samsung has the ability to transfer all my previously loaded apps from my other Samsung TVs, I didn't have to bother with any of that. In fact when I purchased the last one I had purchased the same model in a 55” for the living room. Since I've never had Samsung previously (TVs that is) I only had to install the apps on one of them, then automatically duplicate it with one click on other. Very easy, and a great time saver!

As to the UI (user interface) home screen, I much prefer the QLED to this one. Partly due to what I've become accustomed to, but mainly because of the additional, necessary scrolling. Firstly, I have the TV set up to go to my last used app when I turn it on, so if I was watching Sling TV it will start on that; a live local channel, it will be on that channel (I'm using broadcast, not cable or sat). So to display the apps, I have to hit the “home” button, then scroll down 2 lines, past the “recent/recommended” line to get to the apps. I wish I could at least delete that line since I find it useless. On the QLED you only have to hit the Home button to bring up the apps, then you just scroll right, to go through them. It will also show the apps for a few seconds when you first turn the TV on, so you can just change apps immediately if needed without pressing “Home”.

    SOME PROS
    • The blacks are blacker, the colors more vibrant... in fact too vibrant on the default setting for my taste, so I had to tone it down
    • It can, if you choose to, use AI to manage several setting such as picture quality for content, lighting, volume. It does seem to work so I continue to use it.
    • Ability to hide broadcast channels that you don't watch, which I couldn't do on the QLED. A needed convenience these days since many remotes are numberless, probably due to people watching live TV through apps such as Sling, Hulu, YouTube TV and also the introduction of voice control.
    • Multi-view – The ability to view multiple content items on a split screen (i.e. live TV along with your screen share of a smart phone or another app, 2 apps at once, etc.)

    SOME CONS
    • If you at all familiar with Samsung's Tizen UI, you already know that it's sluggish. It takes almost 5 seconds for the TV to come on, and apps take much longer to load than other brands. Just don't wait til the last minute to turn on the set, unless you don't care about missing the first 10 to 15 seconds. I'm not sure why they've never addressed this problem. Tizen has been around for nearly 10 years and I'm sure they've already received a multitude of bad reviews and complaints about it. Don't get me wrong though. Samsung does make quality products that usually last a long time. They wouldn't be the number one television manufacturer in the U.S. and worldwide for a number of years if they weren't.
    • Small remote. The included solar remote that's also rechargeable via USB-C cable, just seems too short, and thin which makes for more fumbling and accidental presses when picking it up. The QLED's remote is the same width and only an 1” longer, but has angled shape that's a little thicker at the lower end, which makes it easy to determine if you're holding correctly when you pick it up without looking at it, which is a real convenience when you're fumbling for it on a bed in darkened rooms, which, by the way, is the best way to watch an OLED TV.

In conclusion, is it worth the expense? I suppose so, especially if you're a gamer or into sports, but it could have been better.
