Learning the correct pronunciation of English words is one of the keys to properly mastering the language.

WikSpeak is a tool that can be used to improve your English pronunciation, and transcribe words into phonetic symbols.

The application can be used in two modes: in the first, the user must enter the word they want transcribed into a text box and press the Enter button. WikSpeak then shows its transcription and plays the word through the speakers.

In the second, the automatic mode, WikSpeak interacts with the clipboard and performs both operations each time a word is copied.

WikSpeak gets its phonetic transcriptions from wordreference.com and downloads the sound from learnersdictionary.com.
