Two years of W3Techs.comSummary: W3Techs.com went online two year ago. Let's have a look back at the last year.
The last year has been a successful one for W3Techs. We have increased our coverage of web technologies, we have further refined and extended our reports, and - most important - we have significantly expanded our user base and our visibility on the net.
A list of our achievements in our second year:
New and enhanced reporting
New and enhanced user communication
-
We have installed a forum, which can also be used to make technology proposals (although it seems most users prefer to make proposals via email, which is just as fine by us).
-
We included an FAQ page.
-
We offer to provide monthly technology surveys via RSS and email.
-
We continued our series of monthly survey highlights, some of them were reported widely on the web.
-
We started providing little insights via the tiny "web technology fact of the day" blog entries.
One of the insights we get from the technology survey reports is to know what most of our visitors are interested in. From that service, we get this list of the top 5 technology categories requested by our visitors:
-
Content Management Systems
-
Server-side Programming Languages
-
Traffic Analysis Tools
-
Client-side Programming Languages
-
JavaScript Libraries
From another service, the technology notification mails, we can see the most asked technologies:
-
Ubuntu
-
Joomla
-
vBulletin
-
Ektron
-
Drupal
While we are quite satisfied with the achievements of this year, we certainly won't stop here. Our plans for the next year's developments are as exciting as the first two years. Stay tuned.
