Mechanical Design Engineer - Data Centres

Datacenter People is working specialist design and engineering firm for the mission-critical industry.

What the Job Involves...

• Manage and deliver the mechanical work packages in multiple concurrent projects, either in the UK or internationally
• identify the scope, design and management objectives and deliver project documentation, ensuring the quality and flow of information required for contractors, vendors and regulatory authorities
• Plan, organise, manage and where appropriate create work packages to include technical specifications, reports, calculations and drawings/models appropriate to the relevant level of detail
• Assist the project manager in the preparation / review of project costs, risk assessments and progress monitoring
• Develop and maintain vendor relationships ensuring continuous technical professional development; Review contractor pre-qualifications and prepared tender evaluation summaries for tender reviews.

We're Looking for Someone Who...

• A BEng (Hons) or MEng in Building Services / Mechanical Engineering;
• relevant working experience in mechanical design;
• Good knowledge of standard practices in the design and construction of mission critical facilities.
• An entrepreneurial, result oriented, proactive individual with a positive flexible and problem solving attitude.
• Ability to perform best in a multidisciplinary team often with international colleagues;
