Location: Chertsey, Surrey (Relocation Package available)

Work Arrangement: Flexible approach to onsite and remote working, typically 2-3 days a week on site

Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Engineer.

As a key member of our dedicated team of highly skilled design engineers, you will play a crucial role in the conception, development, and delivery of cutting-edge products and systems tailored for the Defence Industry. Your primary focus will be on projects within our Maritime Communications Business Stream, where you will apply your expertise to ensure the highest standards of quality and performance are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the architectural and detailed design of electronics solutions to meet requirements.

Work with other internal design disciplines, and external suppliers, to develop successful design solutions.

Consideration of design for manufacture and test, to ensure smooth transition to production.

Systems integration of solutions, including fault finding.

Work with external test houses to demonstrate equipment complies with MoD and European standards, including CE/UKCA marking.

Comply with all health and safety requirements and safe practices and procedures operated by the company.

Prepare high-quality documentation and drawings associated with the development lifecycle (e.g.,) Bill of Materials, schematics and Change Notes), and configuration in accordance with company procedures.

Assist and liaise with project teams on electronic aspects of products and systems.

Occasional offsite support to install and maintain products and systems.

What We’re Looking for From You:

Essential:

• Broad Electronics Design experience
• Knowledge of ECAD tools
• Knowledge of the Engineering Lifecycle
• Good understanding of working PCB Board level

Desirable:

• Cadence or CAD knowledge
• Experience in Design for EMC Compliance
• Design experience in Analogue and Digital Design Techniques.

Security Clearance: Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to gain UK government security clearance. To achieve this, you must hold British or dual nationality.
