Audio/picture storybooks narrated by Mother Earth, for children 3-10 years. Igniting the conservationist in all of us!
About us
Tales from Mother Earth (TfME) is a collective conservation venture, with a strong drive and passion for connecting children 3-10 years with the natural world - through our stories and music. By compiling a touching series of realistic animal and insect stories, we hope to ignite the conservationist in all of us by empowering us to help in some way...especially children. Our first audio/picture storybook is Phoebe the Bee, which features a strong conservation message for children about bees. Second audio/picture storybook is Spike the Hedgehog teaching all of us how to be more hedgehog aware.

There's nothing better than working collaboratively to bring about lasting change and connecting young minds with nature. 💚 Thanks Shervorne Brown and your wonderful team at McLaughlin & Harvey Ltd for making this happen. #Sustainability #Motivation #Environment
Great way to end the week! Back in June Jenny Bailey and I delivered an online reading session of her book Stanley The Water vole to reception students at St. Michaels C of E aided Primary School in #Wolverhampton, at the session we spoke to students about the importance of recycling and raised awareness about the danger caused to animals by throwing litter (especially plastic) into seas and rivers. This morning I returned to the school with Carol Codner to deliver a copy of the book to each student that attended the session . Great way to tie into #plasticfreejuly2024 and McLaughlin & Harvey Ltd's Plastic Awareness Week. Thank you Tales from Mother Earth

It was a joy to work on this project with Morgan Sindall Construction and bring Sitka and his story to life! What a treat to now see the tale enhanced further in this way. Engaging children to think about timber in a whole new light was our mission so they appreciate the sustainable qualities of one of the best resources in the world! Our thanks to the wonderful supporters of this project BSW Group Woodknowledge Wales and Timber Development UK #Sustainability #Motivation #Environment
🌲 “Looking out across the woodland I can see for miles around, so many trees just like me…” This is the story of Sitka Spruce, the character in our brand-new children’s book! The book shares the story of Sitka the Spruce, as they make the journey from the forest into the classroom and beyond, promoting to young learners that timber provides the planet with a positive and regenerative resource. We worked in partnership with organisation Tales from Mother Earth, who write and illustrate informative stories for young children to re-engage with the natural world. Enabling them to find out more about habitat preservation, biodiversity and the things they can do to act on climate change. #SitkaSpruce #ManagedForests #TimberConstruction #ChildrensBook WATCH the video below which features all the illustrations from the book: https://lnkd.in/eqCPcCii

Green roofs are amazing and congratulations on your wonderful environmental programme there at centre:mk you're really making a difference which is great to see. Delighted that our children's audio/picture storybook can support such a fabulous initiative with Green Roof Organisation (GRO). 💚🐞🐝 #Sustainability #Motivation #Environment
As the days get longer and warmer, and the sun tries to peep through the clouds, our rooftop is all abuzz once more as our 40,000+ bees wake up for Spring! 🐝 Bringing the rooftop back to life, our honeybee hive is a key element of our ongoing environmental work here at centre:mk. Forming part of our green roof project, our extensive rooftop space provides essential wildlife habitats right in the heart of Milton Keynes city centre, which also include bird and insect boxes, and areas of grass and wildflowers that the bees pollinate. To support this work, did you know that we’ve also sponsored a fantastic children’s book called ‘Journey to the Green Roof’, written by Tales from Mother Earth’s Jenny Bailey? Money raised from sales go to the Green Roof Organisation (GRO)'s Education Fund - you can find out more and buy your copy here: https://lnkd.in/eNyc9k7t #centremk #MiltonKeynes #LoveMK #ShoppingCentre #Bees #Honeybees #ESG #ESGStrategy #CSR #Environment #Habitats #GreenRoof #SustainableBusiness

Jenny Bailey our co-founder/director/author was in great company at #Futurebuild last week supporting Green Roof Organisation (GRO). She even managed to catch up with Dusty Gedge who is the Green Roof expert in the children's storybook 'Journey to the Green Roof' a wonderful collaboration between Tales from Mother Earth and GRO. Such a great audio/picture storybook for 3-10 years, teaching children how brilliant green roofs are as a structure, and the fact that they can give so much back to biodiversity. Get your copy of the book today whilst stocks last. https://lnkd.in/dfhSdmkP #environment #motivation #sustainability
