Last week we celebrated two fantastic achievements for Football Manager 2024!⚽ Our recent collaboration with Xbox on 'Everyday Tactician', a competition and content series offering the chance for anybody playing FM24 on the Xbox Game Pass to carry out a challenge and win a chance to work at Bromley Football Club as part of the coaching staff, won the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity Grand Prix Award. Created in partnership with Xbox and McCann London, Everyday Tactician fought off strong competition to take home the award, and is made up of a 3-part behind the scenes series about Nathan Owolabi's experience working at the club. During his time there, Bromley managed to achieve promotion to the EFL (English Football League) for the first time in its 132-year history! Another astonishing milestone was hit last Sunday with Football Manager 2024. Reaching this is a culmination of 8 years of adapting to & embracing new business models - a pathway that has been challenging, fun, and required many, many pivots, which, thankfully, tie in well to our studio values of being adaptable and looking at the bigger picture... Huge thanks to all the team Sports Interactive (SI) & SEGA, alongside our friends and partners at Xbox Gamepass, Apple Arcade, Netflix Games, Sony Playstation, Nintendo, Valve corporation, Epic Games Store, and all retailers and partners across the football, technology and games spaces without whom none of this would be possible. And, of course, thanks to all the players, new, old and returning. To put it into context, we celebrated 2m players in a year for the first time in 2019. So that's 5x growth in the last 5 years!
