It's a month dedicated to recognising the struggles, achievements, and contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals throughout history and today. Pride is not just a celebration—it's a call for inclusivity, acceptance, and standing against discrimination in all its forms. 🌈 Yesterday, at MC HQ, we had the opportunity to delve into the history of Pride with an engaging interactive quiz. Staying true to our tradition of combining events with food, we also hosted a pride-themed bake-off 🍰 to raise funds for the incredible charity MindOut - LGBTQ Mental Health Service which supports LGBTQ+ individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Pride Month is a time for everyone to come together and celebrate our shared humanity. Let's continue to spread love, acceptance, and pride not just this month, but every day of the year. ❤️💛🧡🖤💜

At Mindful Chef, we're dedicated to promoting mental health and wellbeing at work, which is why we're excited to embrace the theme of "MOVEMENT" 🕺🏽for #mentalhealthawarenessweek this year. Our Mental Health First Aiders came up with several initiatives to encourage people to get moving and enhance their mental health. 💛 As part of our activities, we're promoting a “movathon”, 🏃🏽♀️ where teams come together to participate in a marathon of movement. Today we've also enjoyed an engaging lunch & learn session where some of our team members shared their favourite types of movement. From bachata dance 💃🏽 to volleyball, bouldering to basketball 🏀, we explored a variety of activities and even got to try some out in our breakout space. By promoting movement and sharing our experiences, we're not only improving our physical health but also nurturing our mental wellbeing 💆🏻as a community. Movement acts as a natural "happy pill”, triggering the release of endorphins, the "feel good" hormones, while simultaneously reducing stress hormones. 🧠 Are you inspired to move for mental health today? 🤸🏽♀️

We have some exciting news this week at Mindful Chef | B Corp… 📣 We have been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise, recognising our excellence in Sustainable Development 🌍 👑 Giles Humphries, Robert Grieg-Gran and myself couldn’t be more proud 😊 To think our little idea has been awarded one of the most prestigious business awards in the country is still quite hard to get our heads around! From being the first recipe box company to certify as a B Corp in 2018. To donating over 19 million hot school meals to children living in poverty in Malawi. As well as launching our low carbon range, and delivering over 1.4 million low carbon meals last year alone. Our tech meet-up on Wednesday exceeded expectations, with over 40 engineers from the Ruby on Rails community joining us in our beautiful London HQ for an engaging evening.
