From day one, we've been working closely with the local community to ensure that Dockside Canada Water benefits everyone. Our £200,000 Health & Wellbeing Fund was set up in partnership with Decathlon UK in 2022 to support grassroots organisations in Canada Water and Rotherhithe. Art-Invest Real Estate, in partnership with Townshend Landscape Architects, BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group, HWKN Architecture and Andy Sturgeon, is putting meticulously planned, strategically planted greenery, plant life and public space at the heart of Dockside Canada Water. We spoke to Townshend Landscape Architect's oliver barden to talk through their strategies, collaborative work and ambitions for the project.

At Dockside Canada Water, a new-look eastern dock edge has been imagined by nine-time Chelsea Flower Show Royal Horticultural Society Gold medal winner and landscape designer Andy Sturgeon. Working alongside Townshend Landscape Architects — the team behind the Dockside masterplan and wider British Land Canada Water masterplan — Sturgeon will use his expertise in planting and design to unify the dock edge and the water to create a seamless relationship between the ground floor and the local landscape.
