Luke Sach RIBA , President of the Leeds Society of Architects, has been speaking today at the RIBA Members Forum on behalf of RIBA North. The presentation was about the steady increase in engagement across the Leeds region through a number of positively enriching initiatives. This included the successful delivery and tangible impact of the 4X4 speaking event, which was held across four weeks in February this year, seeing over a hundred people attend on each evening. Congratulations this week goes to Daniel Pound on his milestone of 10 years at DLA! Over the past decade, Dan has contributed significantly to various sectors and projects, but particularly showcasing his talent and expertise on our Higher Education and Leisure projects. An experienced project architect, Dan is a skilled project runner and has taken a lead on computational design within the office. DLA Architecture are pleased to announce the promotion of Ben Gavaghan to the position of Director. Ben’s specific focus will be to maintain existing client relationships and to develop new opportunities within the industrial, logistics and manufacturing sector.   Group Board Director Andrew Hargreaves added “Its great to welcome Ben into the Director team, he’s been a part of the studio for almost 20 years and he has a very practical and pragmatic approach to both projects and studio leadership”   Ben Gavaghan added “I would personally like to thank Andrew and the wider Group Board for giving me the opportunity to take on the role of a Director at DLA Architecture. Congratulations to Ethan Ellis from our Leeds Studio, following the successful completion of his Architectural Technology degree (with Honours!) at Leeds Beckett University. Ethan joined us in 2017 and undertook six years of hard work and study whilst working at DLA full time. He has developed into an invaluable member of the studio working across a variety of sectors and continues to improve with each month that passes. Great work Ethan! Congratulations to our Client the Stadium Group for securing planning approval for their industrial and manufacturing site at Parkgate Rotherham. The application provides Outline consent for approximately 400,000 sqft of proposed industrial and manufacturing development. DLA Architecture are proud of our involvement in the project to date and look forward to developing detailed proposals moving forward.
