"The power of your organisation comes from its culture – and if you change it in a way that reflects the sentiments of your workforce, there’s a chance your staff will naturally gravitate back to your offices. You could create a genuine sense of belonging." Great article by Dr. Nahla Khaddage Bou-Diab in CSW... #WorkplaceChange #CultureChange #Leadership #Government

I can't quite believe I'm saying this, but I’ve won the Rising Star Award 🏆 at the Women In Change Awards last night. 💖 I still can’t believe that I'm lucky enough to do what I love every day, let alone win an award! I wouldn’t be where I am today without the amazing people in my life - my fabulous friends and family, inspiring mentors (Barbara Collins thank you so much for nominating me 💖), my amazing manager, my wonderful work besties, and the talented team I get to work with every day. A special thank you to my dear friend Ashlea Chapman for always being there for me, doing my hair and being amazing! I wish I could tag you all in this post, but it would be way too long, and you’d be scrolling for at least 5 minutes. A massive thank you to Change Right for sponsoring this award and to Claire Laing and Joe Kipling for this amazing opportunity and the kind words last night! Huge congratulations to all the winners and finalists! Thank you to Sarah B., Rebecca Moore and Louise Robey and everyone who put so much effort into bringing this fabulous event to life! You should be incredibly proud of yourselves! 💫 This was hands-down the most amazing, fun, and empowering event I’ve ever attended. It was absolutely incredible to be in a room surrounded by so many talented women. 🫶

In recognition of National Volunteers week, Change Right have invited Jo Black, the CEO from Kids Club Kampala, along to our team meeting to share an update on her recent visit to Uganda. Kids Club Kampala is an organisation that works in Uganda to support children living in underprivileged communities. We love the fact that the organisation is locally led and community driven, having a team of 50 dedicated staff and volunteers in Uganda, supported by a team of 6 in the UK. 2024 is a big year for Kids Club Kampala as they celebrate their 15th birthday. We’ve been a corporate sponsor since 2019 and in this time we’ve seen them grow from strength to strength – the charity now supports 300,000 people across 23 communities in the capital Kampala. Alongside financial support, such as regular donations and sponsoring a child to go to school, Change Right enjoy sharing their skills and experience. This includes support with coaching, business strategy and capability development. We’ve found that these are skills that smaller charities often struggle to gain access to and our team have them in abundance. We also find it’s a great way to bring our team together. If you want to find out more about Kids Club Kampala and the amazing work that they do then check out the website https://lnkd.in/e7_MVC96 To find out more about how you can get involved in National Volunteers Week https://lnkd.in/dDF2eqZ #volunteersweek

On World Environment Day it’s important to remember that we can all do more, especially as businesses and those of us in the workplace world! #GenerationRestoration

Happy World Environment Day! The theme for this year is “land restoration, desertification, and drought resilience.” The UN have published a practical guide on what different members of society can do: https://lnkd.in/eCUQmRgj Here's some of the things that we can do as businesses in the realm of Workplace, Estates and Construction: ➙ Redesign products so they can be reused, repurposed, repaired and recycled, especially plastic products. ➙ Install more green roofs and vertical gardens on buildings to help mitigate the loss of green spaces in cities and provide habitats for birds, insects and plants. ➙ Invest in green infrastructure such as permeable pavement, rain gardens, and bioswales to manage stormwater runoff and reduce flooding. ➙ Develop sustainable technologies while implementing efficient waste management practices. ➙ Invest in rainwater harvesting, smart irrigation practices and recycling water plants. Fortunately, I'd say we're seeing a fair amount of this already in modern Workplace Design (certainly in cities) but there's more to be done, of course. The benefits are not only seen by those with ESG on their mind but by our people too, it's no secret that there are enormous wellbeing benefits to such design and initiatives. Check out the great work done by Patrick Dumas and Square Mile Farms as an example. #WorldEnvironmentDay2024 #WorkplaceDesign #WorkplaceChange #Wellbeing #UserCentric

Happy International Tea Day! #internationalteaday #change

View profile for Tom Mitchell, graphic

Managing Partner at Change Right Group

Happy International Tea Day! ☕🌍 As Brits living in the sunny state of Arizona, my family has experienced quite a bit of change over the past year. From adapting to a new country to embracing different ways of life, it's been a whirlwind of transformation and growth. Change management isn't just a business term; it's a life skill we've all had to master, especially in these unpredictable times. But amid all this change, one thing has remained a constant comfort: my love for a good, hot brew. Whether it's a classic English Breakfast tea to start the day or a soothing Builder's brew in the afternoon, tea has been constant theme through it all. Here's to the little things that keep us grounded and the big changes that help us grow. Happy International Tea Day, everyone! 🫖 #InternationalTeaDay #ChangeManagement #UKtoArizona #TeaLover #Adaptability #ComfortInChange
