OWL means a lot to many people ❤️ This was Amy Shore Photography after the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run in 2023: The British Motor Museum asked if I wanted to drive a 124 year old car 60 miles from London to Brighton. Of course I said yes, but then I had to learn how to drive the thing. On some cars that old, there isn't a steering wheel but a stick called a tiller - a bit like a boat rudder. The gears are a bit different but they're still gated and the throttle is a tiny leaver with a marble-sized metal ball on the end that you nudge up and down teeth to adjust power. It's safe to say that I let William do all the driving in the end and I just took photos. Some of these cars have literal candles for headlights. Anyway, enjoy these shots of the 1899 Wolseley Voiturette (that first one is my smug 'I've started it, I'm a pro at this' face) and shot 2 is my favourite.
