This iconic landmark is now one of the most exciting & innovative mixed-use neighbourhoods in the world. NOW OPEN!

About us

The iconic Grade II* listed Battersea Power Station and surrounding area is being brought back to life as one of the most exciting and innovative mixed-use neighbourhoods in the world. The Power Station is NOW OPEN to the public for the very first time. It is at the heart of one of central London’s largest and most visionary new regenerations, which sees this vast 42-acre former industrial brownfield site transformed into a community of homes, offices, retail, dining, community facilities, cultural venues and 19-acres of public space, serviced by a Zone 1 extension to the Northern Line underground service. The overall project is divided into seven phases with each phase to be designed by a range of architects, including Frank Gehry and Norman Foster, and is anticipated to be completed in 2025. Battersea Power Station is at the cornerstone of Nine Elms, the single largest regeneration site in central London and the capital’s up-and-coming diplomatic quarter with the US and Dutch embassies relocating to the area. Situated on London’s famous cultural South Bank and within a few minutes’ walking distance of Chelsea and Westminster, the development has created a sustainable and vibrant community in its own right, generating employment opportunities and investment in the surrounding area. Battersea Power Station announced as a winner of The RIBA National Awards 2024!   It was announced earlier today that the Grade II* listed Power Station is amongst 26 projects to win The RIBA National Awards 2024, having been selected from a list of over 100 regional winners. The announcement has led to fantastic coverage across leading publications such as Country and Town House, naming Battersea Power Station as ‘One of The UK’s Best Buildings’.   RIBA described Battersea Power Station as ‘a deeply impressive scheme that combines carefully restored heritage assets, high-quality homes, and a contemporary retail experience, all tied together with an industrial aesthetic appropriate to the original power station’s awesome scale and character.’   Congratulations also to WilkinsonEyre, who were the lead architects on the restoration of the Grade II* listed landmark, which sits at the heart of our new 42-acre riverside neighbourhood, transformed from a derelict ruin into a new town centre with over 140 shops, restaurants, bars and leisure venues for visitors to explore in and around the iconic landmark.

We’re delighted to announce that Battersea Power Station won the Placemaking and Social Value Award at last night’s Property Awards 2024.   Battersea Power Station is a blueprint for urban mixed-use regeneration, with community at its heart. The vibrant new town centre for Wandsworth, which is home to over 140 British, international and small independent brands welcomed over 11.2 million visitors in 2023, a fifth of which were local residents from Wandsworth. It has created 6,500 jobs to date, including 3,500 following the opening of the Power Station and Electric Boulevard, and has donated over £6 million to local charities, groups and causes with over £4 million of this going to Wandsworth organisations. The development’s success has also been underpinned by the opening of its very own zone 1 Northern Line Underground station, significantly increasing connectivity to both the estate and the wider Battersea area, and its free calendar of events and cultural activities. The Battersea Games has returned for another year and is now is full swing throughout the summer months, building on last years success, this event has paved the way for Battersea Power Station being announced as an Official Team GB Fanzone and an Official ParalympicsGB Fanzone for Paris 2024.

Last week, our Head of Asset Management Sam Cotton spoke at the Mover & Shakers’ Creative Industries Property Summit – a forum that brings together developers, policy makers and operators to discuss the critical role that arts and culture play in society. During a panel talk at the summit, Sam said:    “As a developer, as a place, we’ve got a responsibility to deliver social and economic value. From scratch, we’ve created an annual events and cultural programme for the local community and visitors. We started small with a pop-up theatre initially and we’ve built the cultural programme up significantly as the estate has matured.   “We’re learning and experimenting how we can use our spaces to support culture – but we view our role as a facilitator of big as well as small collaborations and partnerships. From David Hockney’s iPad Christmas tree installation on the Power Station chimneys last year in partnership with Apple; to British contemporary artist Claire Luxton’s recent ‘Field of Dreams’ public artwork installation on display in Turbine Hall A; a 100-person strong Battersea Community choir that has performed with the likes of Sting and Jamie Cullen; and exhibitions showcasing the best local creative talent. We’re always evolving the cultural offer but it shows what you can do when you bring people together.”
