Can I send CVs to my clients if no T&Cs have been signed? It is best to avoid this situation whenever you can. Having signed terms and conditions (T&Cs) in place before you send out CVs is crucial, as it helps prevent issues like backdoor hire or to avoid disputes over your fees. However, if it is an urgent situation and you can't agree on terms upfront, make sure to tell your client that the CVs you are sending are tied to T&Cs attached to it. This way, if the client proceeds with the candidates, it is understood that they agree the terms by way of conduct. APSCo terms and guidance can all be found on our contract template page: https://lnkd.in/dYcJXpNj

With the UK still seeing lower levels of labour market economic activity than pre-pandemic, the challenge for the North East is that the divergence in growth between the region and the southern parts of the country is now growing. With 15% of employment in the North East being in Manufacturing, the recent announcement by Nissan that they will invest 2 Billion into a plant at Sunderland is welcome news, equally, for the region to catch up, more is needed. Managing Partner @ UHY Hacker Young (East) | Recruitment Sector Expert

It was an absolute privilege to be a judge for this year’s APSCo awards for excellence. It’s been a very tough day interviewing the finalists for 3 award categories (recruitment company of the year £2 to £5m t/over, international recruitment company of the year and award for innovation). All the finalist submitted excellent applications and provided some insightful answers to our interview questions. It was tough deciding on the winners but after a lot of debating, we got there in the end. Thank you to my fellow judges - Amy Davies, Simon Bloch and Alan Horton and to the chair John Rose, who have upheld the values of APSCo, making these awards (in my opinion) the best in the industry. Looking forward to the awards dinner in September. Recruitment Accountants UHY Hacker Young (East)
