We asked our CEO, Dmytro, to share a management story. He has a million of them, so get ready to read: Once, I was on the jury of a competition that awarded grants for developing practical applications. We reviewed all the proposals and selected three companies to receive investments. A few days later, the head of one of the chosen companies approached me and asked for first place instead of second. When asked, "Why suddenly?" he responded with a stunning "So that we feel a little less miserable..." A few years later, my acquaintance went for an interview at this company and was horrified: utterly gloomy, unmotivated people in the office, a hostile atmosphere, pain and suffering in every word of the interview, and a clear demonstration of an utterly bleak future. The guy ran away as fast as he could! Do you see gloomy people in your company who devalue any ideas? Are your people lazy and unmotivated? Do employees deceive each other and you? Is there no atmosphere of cooperation? Just look in the mirror! People in companies are like children: you can tell them whatever you want, but they act like you because you are their only example. Want to change your organization? Understand who you are, accept yourself, and decide what kind of person you want to become — and then you will see your company's future!

Last week at the Nexus 2050 conference, the Uspacy team gained new experience participating in international events. The hot atmosphere, genuine interest, and new connections accompanied us in Luxembourg. We eagerly look forward to attending more international events so that even more people can learn about Uspacy!

Last week, our CTO, Kyrylo, attended the first of three Google I/O Connect events this year. This time, the event in Berlin welcomed over 1,300 enthusiastic developers from more than 100 countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. What was discussed at the conference? Mobile and web development, cloud development, and of course, artificial intelligence. And now, stay tuned for updates from Uspacy, as Kyrylo was incredibly inspired 😎 Additionally, Google for Startups hosted a meetup and dinner for program members. We had the chance to connect with current and past program members and their organizers. It’s incredibly inspiring to build a product in partnership with Google! Did we enjoy the event? Absolutely, because Google I/O Connect is both a platform for showcasing technological innovations and a space for connecting with like-minded individuals. Everything will be Uspacy 💜

Summer is traditionally a slow period for business activity, but not for us. The Uspacy team is maintaining a rapid development pace to create a product that helps entrepreneurs organize their daily work. Here’s what we managed to release in June: Sometimes, duplicates of contacts, leads, and other entities can appear in a CRM system. We have an entire plan to address this issue, and today we are taking the first step — merging records in the CRM. Do you have several identical records? Select and merge them in the list using the wizard, which will guide you through the process and show you how the merged record will look. Last month, we wrote about table settings in Tasks. In June, the ability to change column widths and rearrange them by dragging became available for all tables in the CRM section. You can now customize the color scheme of groups, allowing you to personalize and highlight them among others. Integration with Telegram groups has appeared. Now, you can add a bot connected to your Uspacy to any group. It will start broadcasting messages to your space, and responses will be returned to the Telegram group. This is an excellent solution for teams communicating with clients on projects in shared Telegram groups. This month, many updates were made to our applications. For example, task numbers are now displayed in the mobile app. It might seem like a small thing, but many of our users requested this feature. Additionally, it is now possible to view documents in .pdf, .docx, and .xlsx formats in the app. For Linux users, we created a desktop application. Our team worked hard on migrations from other products and data import from files. We added or improved over ten different mechanisms — from formatting phone numbers to creating comments on group posts. Import and migration have become faster and more functional, allowing even more companies to switch to Uspacy easily. You already have all the May updates available, so enjoy them, build your company’s processes, and focus on the important things.

The other day, the Ukrainian Startup Fund and the company Glovo held the PowerUp Ukraine conference. Leaders of top technology companies, heads of venture funds, and industry experts discussed the sector's challenges and solutions for developing and supporting the startup ecosystem in Ukraine. The final of the Glovo Startup Lab competition took place during the conference. The Uspacy team received a €10,000 grant for development, an internship in Barcelona, and mentorship from the Glovo team. Everything will be Uspacy 💜

Last Friday was so eventful that we barely had time to catch our breath. Despite Kyiv's endless air raid alerts, our team worked tirelessly at the Svoe.IT event aims to showcase software developed in our country to Ukrainians. And it was incredible! The interest in Uspacy was so high that sometimes we had a line of people waiting to see our product. There won't be any photos of the line because everyone was busy engaging with the visitors. ;) A vibrant booth, high team engagement, significant interest in Uspacy, a presentation on the event's main stage, and a stack of contacts to enter into our CRM — this is how our day went at Svoe.IT!

We absolutely must share some fantastic news with you: Uspacy has received a grant from the Google for Startups Ukraine Support Fund! In addition to the grant of up to $100,000 in equity-free funding, we will receive Google Cloud credits and mentorship support from Google. Undoubtedly, this support from a world-class company will help us improve our product and promote it not only in Ukraine but also in global markets! We thank Google for Startups and are proud of our team, thanks to whom we are moving forward!

At the end of last week, we visited Helsinki for the Arctic15 conference. To be honest, we still don't know the exact reason behind the name, but we became one of the fifteen semifinalists who pitched from the event's main stage. Events like these are always an opportunity to make new connections and gain essential market insights, so Uspacy had a productive time at Arctic15!

Nexus 2050 is a new technological event that will take place from June 26 to 27 in Luxembourg. The target industries of Nexus 2050 are artificial intelligence, sustainability, cybersecurity, financial technologies, talent acquisition, and development. The event aims to combine environmental and digital transformation to leverage technology to benefit governments, organizations, and corporations. The Ukrainian Startup Fund has selected the Uspacy team, which means we are heading to Luxembourg to present Uspacy to potential clients, partners, and investors!

The Uspacy team doesn't slow down or stop when it comes to releasing updates. We still have a lot to do, so there are no business seasons or breaks for rest — our team continues to improve Uspacy. And in May, we managed to release several essential and pleasant updates: From now on, tasks can be delegated if you need to assign them to someone else. Just click the appropriate item in the task menu, choose whom to delegate the task to, and enjoy that someone else now has to do the work. Convenient, isn't it? 😉 Task hierarchy — an update not for everyone. However, users actively working with subtasks and managing multi-level project structures have already appreciated our new feature. In the hierarchical task view, you can see the entire structure of a task with its subtasks at multiple levels deep, providing more understanding of what is happening with various tasks. Additionally, it is now possible to customize tables in tasks, such as changing the width of columns or moving them around by simple dragging and dropping. A similar update will soon be available for the CRM section. In the CRM, task creation from templates directly from the Lead, Deal, or Client card has also been introduced. From now on, our users will have access to sorting in CRM. In any CRM entity, you can sort table data by any field in ascending or descending order and get accurate data, no matter how large your client base is. Many updates have touched our mobile application. The main one is working with media files. From now on, you can view images and videos attached to tasks, posts, or sent in chats without having to download them to your device. On iOS, you can now upload not only images but also videos. Also, it has become elementary to navigate to replies in chats — just tap on a reply, and you will be taken to the message that received it. Finally, Uspacy supports voice and video messages for Telegram and WhatsApp. These are the same circles that some people love to use when communicating with popular messengers. If a client records such a message, it will come to Uspacy, where you can view, listen, and reply. For now, the response is traditional, because you love your clients 😉 All May updates are already available to you, so enjoy them, build your company processes, and focus on essential things.
