'Kalki 2898 AD' box office collection day 1: The Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan starrer opens with HUGE Number, earns Rs 95 crore in India, Rs 180 crore worldwide

'Kalki 2898 AD' was one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Prabhas is like a modern day take on Mahabharat, set in the world of sci-fi and ace VFX. The film has surely set a benchmark, even in terms of its opening day numbers. 'Kalki 2898 AD' is one of the biggest opening films when combined in all languages and the worldwide collection, behind 'Baahubali 2' and 'RRR' and 'KGF 2'.

As far as the collections in India are concerned, 'Kalki 2898 AD' has a total collection of Rs 95 crore nett in all languages. The gross collection in India is around Rs 115 crore. Meanwhile, just in Hindi, the film has made Rs 22-23 crore, which is 5 percent more than DP's last film 'Fighter'. As far as the India collection in all languages is concerned, 'Kalki 2898 AD' now stands behind 'KGF 2' as that film had made Rs 105 crore nett in India. The gross number was even higher.
