TapiRex

TapiRex is a useful application that can tell you who called your landline without you having to pick up the phone. That way, you can answer it only if you want to.

To use it, just connect your computer to your landline. From there, you can see the information for any incoming call on the system tray.

To show more information for the person who's calling you, you can use your Microsoft Outlook address book or any other Access or MySQL database to get more details on the call.

This tool is especially useful whenever the phone is far away and you can't hear it ringing. Now you can know when someone is calling, and who it is, even if you're busy using your computer.
