I have some experience with Java and C++ but my primary language is C#. When I was little, I was first exposed to development when my dad downloaded Game Maker 5 on the family computer. He learned enough to teach me the basics but I spent a lot of time using it and I learned so much. I didn't realize until a little later in my life that while I hadn't ever learned to write much code, GM had taught me a lot of logic that I recognized when I started my C++ lessons. I had fun writing console applications with C++, but I eventually switched to Java because I thought I would get to graphical stuff sooner. I didn't stick to Java long either, because in the ninth grade my principle paid for me to take some local college courses in game development and they had me jump right into C# and XNA, and eventually Unity. Most of my experience is in Unity, but I've put it aside for while to master C# and to become a better programmer.

In the future, it is my intention to go back and learn C++ while doing computer science studies. I figure learning in detail how high level programming languages communicate with the operating system will help me be a better programmer. Ultimately I will return to Unity or another game engine and continue pursuing a career as an indie developer.
