The modem I use is TP LINK. I am 100% sure that the ethernet cable is plugged in and working, yet I get the error cable is not plugged.

  1. I plugged and unplugged the clavle from LAN ports of the computer and the modem many times.
  2. I tried changing the driver.
  3. I tried connecting by disabling Wi-Fi.
  4. I went to Properties > Configure > Advanced and made sure all properties were used (only the stream's values were empty so it cloudn't be selected).

What should I do to connect to ethernet?

When you plug in a cable, the LAN ports will start blinking green and amber lights. If these lights don't light up, it means the cable is either not inserted properly on both ends or broken. So check if the lights are on to troubleshoot the issue.

How do you know the cable and router work? Include that test in the question. Commented Jun 18 at 17:53
