The problem persists even when using hotspot with a phone data connection. The problem is almost certainly with the desktop... |

File downloads very slow compared to speedtest (only for 1 pc in my home network) Optimal MTU size seems to be 1492. I changed it and there isn't any noticable difference... Doesn't the fact that speedtest reaches max bandwidth instantly guarantee that it's not a hardware issue? |

File downloads very slow compared to speedtest (only for 1 pc in my home network) I have tested the exact same sites&same file downloads at different computers, and the speeds are much much higher. I have also tried clearing cookies and a few different browsers. The downloads are always around 1-1.5MB/s, no matter the site or the browser or anything, while at the same time speedtest hits 300Mbps instantly. |

File downloads very slow compared to speedtest (only for 1 pc in my home network) Mainly I use Ethernet, I tested the problem also with a Wireless Adapter and it remained the same. Interestingly the file download speeds where about the same (~1MB/s) for both ethernet and the wireless adapter, even though the wireless adapter can only do 50Mbps on speedtest. It seems that file downloads are somehow throttled, no matter the bandwidth... |

Can a non-separable C$^*$ algebra have separable GNS Hilbert space Okay, I thought this would be the case. Thanks for the example! Is there a relevant theorem, stating assumptions under which the Hilbert space will be separable? Or is this not an interesting problem? |
