@DrMoishePippik yeah I understand it's not the best but I was trying to learn networking stuff and it came with all the tools so I installed it, it also turns out it comes with the byproduct that gaming is a pain in the ass

Ive done what you've said i just skipped a couple steps, i just did an advanced reboot, used the command line in that, did your steps, rebooted, but that was not enough, i had to edit something in firmware menu, i cant remember exactly but i will quickly find out what i did and come back

@RobertCrovella but it has made me realise my problem is slightly different, because there are other separate files that don't use any cuda functions but are still compiled with nvcc, but the error says that a single input file is required for a non-link phase when an output file is specified
