I saw three older devs deleted my questions because I asked them to follow the guidelines We generally expect that moderators:

are patient and fair lead by example show respect for their fellow community members in their actions and words are open to some light but firm moderation to keep the community on track and resolve (hopefully) uncommon disputes and exceptions

I apologize that I did not explain well why I recommended you should delete your question ASAP, I was under the impression you already figured it out by yourself that your question was 100% off-topic, not fixable by a few edits. I hope that after Thomas' explanation you now understand why I saw this question had no future on this site.

The deleted post in question is here.

Immediately, it is a type of question that should not be asked here. It doesn't present an actual, solvable problem and instead appears to be focused on a rant or to solicit opinions about a situation.

Instead of attempting to edit the question to try to fix these problems, the third edit introduced meta commentary. I rolled back this edit to give a better place to try to fix the problem.

Normally, I'm not a fan of fast deletion except for very clearly off-topic questions. However, in this case, you didn't demonstrate a willingness to understand our community policies and norms and attempt to fix the issues with the post. Instead, you called people bullies and vandalized the post.

I read the post, and IMO it has nothing to do with software engineering. It doesnt state a problem you want to solve. It doesn’t state what you want help with. It is unanswerable and therefore not suitable for this site. It doesn’t give any benefit to readers and therefore can be removed.

Deleting a question is not bullying. If you think it is, then you are not going to succeed with anything in life. It is also not rude. Accusing moderators of being bullying and rude, on the other side, that is rude.

Now, what will help you in most situations is a simple strategy of finding the answer to two questions: What do I want to achieve? And how do I achieve it? Answer the first question. Nobody can help you with that. Then “workplace” might be a good place to get help with the second question.

You must log in to answer this question.
