Our Singapore team yesterday had a fantastic time exploring St John's island and and discovering the work being done at the St. John's Island National Marine Laboratory, where they had the opportunity to tour the facility and learn more about the research being conducted on the island. One of the highlights was the coastal guided walk where they learnt about the local ecosystem, and interesting facts about the island heritage. #xylemwatermark #xylemsea

Read about the three water challenges facing Southeast Asia, along with digital solutions used elsewhere around the world that could hold the key to helping the region address its water threats 👇🏼 #LetsSolveWater
The water sector in Southeast Asia is grappling with significant challenges such as water scarcity, risk management, and sustainability. Rapid urbanization and climate change further complicate these issues. ⬇️ Here are the three water challenges facing Southeast Asia, along with digital solutions used elsewhere around the world that could hold the key to helping the region address its water threats: 💧 Water Scarcity: Limited freshwater, worsened by severe weather, poses a serious problem. ➡️ In Nuevo León, Mexico, Xylem Vue powered by GoAigua, in collaboration with Servicios de Agua y Drenaje de Monterrey IPD, achieved a 37% reduction in water losses through advanced monitoring and management solutions. 🌊 Risk Management: Frequent floods and pollution impact public health and infrastructure. ➡️ In Calpe, Spain, Aguas de Calpe implemented digital solutions from Xylem Vue powered by GoAigua, reducing non-revenue water by 35% and improving flood prediction accuracy, enhancing emergency preparedness. ♻️ Sustainability: Climate change underscores the need for sustainable water practices. ➡️ In Sheffield, UK, Yorkshire Water, in partnership with Stantec, Xylem, and Idrica, employed innovative water management technologies that decreased CO2 emissions by 41% and reduced visible leaks by 57%, demonstrating significant environmental benefits. 👉 Read more and don't miss it: https://lnkd.in/ds8UREnS #WaterManagement #ByUtilitiesForUtilities #SmartWater

It's a wrap! Excited to have taken part in my first Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) since I moved to Singapore last year. Over the past week, we accomplished so much: ✅ An engaging booth showcasing our latest solutions, not forgetting our hang bar challenge with Manchester City Football Group; ✅ Our speakers delivered insightful talks and discussed the future of water with global stakeholders across the water sector; ✅ We connected with our valued customers and fostered new partnerships; ✅ Launched our first-ever youth program with SIWW, empowering aspiring students to shape the future. Thank you to PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency for providing such a platform for exchange, sharing and collaboration, and everyone who participated and contributed to making this event a success. I’m super proud of our team who worked tirelessly preparing for this week and delivering a superb event. Together, we are building a more water secure world! #SIWW2024 #LetsSolveWater Sylvie Ta Higgs Ellen Hermans
