The sequel to Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, the film continues the adventures of Rey, Finn and Poe as they fight against Kylo Ren and the First Order, after having found Luke Skywalker.
This is the last to feature Carrie Fischer in her role as Princess / General Leia Organa, as Fisher died in December 2016, after principal photography was completed. Disney / Lucasfilm has stated that
