Spaceballs (also known as Mel Brooks' Spaceballs) is a 1987 science fiction film parody starring and written by Mel Brooks. Also featured are Bill Pullman, Rick Moranis, John Candy, and Daphne Zuniga. It is mainly a parody of Star Wars, but also borrows elements from Star Trek, Alien, and Planet of the Apes.
