We are excited to share some key highlights from our recent General Assembly. The Assembly unanimously adopted changes to our statute, introduced new membership categories, and approved the activity plan for the current and next year. Additionally, we presented the proposal for the process of electing/re-electing Board Members, which will take place at the next General Assembly planned for early September. This General Assembly marks a significant step forward following a period of reduced activity, reflecting our ambitious plans for the future to further strengthen the Dutch-Serbian business community in the country. We are thrilled to announce that yesterday we held our General Assembly at SAVA CENTAR, marking our first gathering of this kind after a prolonged hiatus due to the covid pandemic. This is the first of two Assemblies we will hold this year, with the second planned for September. The period between the two Assemblies will be dedicated to inviting all interested members to renew their memberships and participate in the Board elections, either as candidates or as voters. The Assembly symbolized a fresh start for our activities, and we hope for a strong turnout so we can launch new projects and initiatives together. It was also a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with both old and new members, as well as those interested in joining our association. We presented what has been accomplished in the past year and placed special emphasis on our ambitious plans for the future, including the upcoming Board member elections. On May 14, 2024, we marked a significant milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the Council of European Business Associations and Chambers of Commerce in Serbia. This new entity aims to provide a unified voice and serve as a platform for future collaboration, focusing on enhancing the legal and institutional framework, fostering competitiveness, and strengthening trade relations between Serbia and European countries. We were honored to have European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, Oliver Várhelyi, along with ambassadors from the participating countries, at the signing ceremony. Their support and emphasis on the "Team Europe" approach and shared economic interests were truly inspiring. We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Várhelyi and Minister for EU Integration, Tanja Miscevic, for their invaluable support. Today is Koningsdag! 🟠🇳🇱 This special day in the Netherlands marks the king's birthday and is celebrated throughout the country with immense enthusiasm and colors. 🎉 The streets are filled with people in traditional costumes, and each neighborhood showcases its unique energy through various events, concerts, and flea markets. Last week, we had the opportunity to experience the spirit of Koningsdag right here in Serbia! The Embassy of the Netherlands hosted a spectacular celebration with many distinguished guests and dear friends. It was a wonderful experience that once again affirmed the bond between our countries and cultures.
