Feb 27, 2018 at 13:48 comment added Hey I Can Chan @ShadowKras Experience with the artificer class and a comparison of the artificer class with other Pathfinder classes should allow a conclusion to be reached as to the artificer class's balance. I thought that was the default for assessing a class's balance. I mean, short of the time-intensive Same Game Test, how else to determine if a class is balanced before letting it into the campaign?
Feb 27, 2018 at 13:18 comment added doppelgreener "Unbalanced" and "powerful" are fairly vague terms in D&D and Pathfinder, specifically because there is tremendous power and balance disparity between classes in Pathfinder. It's for that reason we have the concept of tiers, where classes in the high tiers almost always outdo the classes in much lower tiers at almost everything. I am not sure how this question should be updated to make it workable within a D&D and Pathfinder paradigm, though I'll let more experienced users chime in on that.

Feb 27, 2018 at 10:04 comment added Nox Given that it is not an official Paizo class, it should be from a 3pp source. There may be more than one source, so you'll need to at least specify the origin of the class description.
